What's your favourite on-line shooter series?

I have been playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 online a lot recently and I'm enjoying more than any online shooter I have played in ages.

Thinking back though I have always really enjoyed the Battlefield games. Never really played the original BF1942 but really got into BF2 and then BF2142 on PC and I even enjoyed BF1943 on PS3 even though it was almost like a mini game.

So what shooter franchises have you found always keep you wanting more?

I agree. I really enjoy BFBC2, not when I am getting owned though!

I did like MW1 but I have to admit that I chose BFBC2 over MW2.

Battlefield, been playing since 1942. Its just so addictive and so much fun.

Battlefield for me, as a series of online shooters it is pretty much unrivalled in its pedigree.

Halo by a mile, find nearly every game mode enjoyable and been great fun playing it with mates over the years.

Call of Duty, up until MW2.

I never really found Battlefield to be as good as people were saying.

I like call of booty and battlefield equally. Very different games though.

same here, i see mw2 as arcade type and bfbc2 a bit more on the realism side

What is everyone's favourite mode on BFBC? I do love Rush but never seem to get as high a score as I do when I play conquest.

Think I prefer conquest as it's a more level playing field - some maps in rush are quite hard to defend imo.

Really! I loved 2142 - thought it was a fantastic game... wish they would release a version like that on console.

Team Fortress.

Though i didn't rate Team Fortress 2 too much, the others more than make up for it, especially team fortress classic.

My favourites even though I ain't played 'em for a while would be Team Fortress Classic and Counter Strike.

The Battlefield series is catching up and I'm looking forward to BF3.

I was dialup until a couple of patches after the new player models patch, then i got 512kb cable, oh how everyone hated me.
