Just under a week ago I came on here asking how to speed up my PC for video encoding

You lot forced me into buying:

a new processor i7 870 and then to give it a little overclock. This then ended up with me buying better RAM, Corsair 2000Mhz, then a better cooling system, Corsair H70. If that wasn't enough, you made me upgraded the motherboard to a Gigabyte UD6 so I could get it to 4.0ghz.

Obviously this new motherboard is SATA6 and USB3.0 compatible so I had to upgraded my external to a Verbatim 1tb USB3.0 and my Internal to a Crucial C300 SSD6.

PLEASE STOP AS I'M RUNNING OUT OF MONEY :mad:

My mrs is going to hit the roof when she next looks at the bank :eek: expecially when I told her last month I was buying an iPad because I didn't use the PC much
 
Haha, pretty sure none of those were my fault as I don't generally suggest the 870 or 2000MHz RAM. :p

Glad you got your 4GHz though.
 
I'm relatively sure no-one on here would recommend buy an i7 870, 2GHz memory or a UD6

and just because you can doesn't mean you should

The thing is, if I had known then I would have gone x58. It originally started with just a CPU upgrade from my i5 which is why I went for the 870. Didn't plan on buying no end of new parts.

Then it just set the ball rolling :D

if your too stupid to manage your own funds then maybe you should realise onw day that a fool and his money are easily parted. :rolleyes:
