To be fair all it had to do is miaw, and going off news reports that's how it was found.

Youre the one that seems to live in a fairytail land thinking that animals arent going to do things we dont like.
The point is we have a higher intelligence and we should use it, not torture an innocent animal. People in the countryside grow up with animals they live with them, some of them are their lively hood. Before there were big cities do you think people went around torturing animals for fun? And no I wouldnt classify hunting for sport and torture the same thing before you pull up that card. Modern times have changed peoples attitude. If a cow **** on some of these peoples lawns theyd be in outrage and threaten to kill the animal, this is what im talking about. I've seen people kicking their dog to discipline them etc. I'm not outraged, i'm annoyed by certain peoples reactions.

You also seem like a very angry person. I suggest you go out more.

I've only bothered replying because I really dont like the attitude that comes across in your posts. If you dont like the thread dont read it, use some god damn common sense instead of raging on other people.

I think the reason so many people are annoyed by this is two fold:-
1) It's clearly an innocent animal, needlessly suffering.
2) More importantly, what it represents. This woman simply does this because she thinks no one is around and she can get away with it. The moment no one is looking there is no need for morality or ethics! Shame on her!

I completely agree, but the simple fact is, some people don't.

Errr, well actually yeah. This has nothing to do with some "decline of modern life" parable, and more to do with basic human nature. People can be ****s, have been ****s, and will continue to be ****s in the future, be they city folk, farmers, priests or the random old lady next door. If you honestly think people didn't hurt animals before cities came along, you're sorely misguided, and that's what my original point was.

That's funny, because I've just seen countless people threaten to hurt or kill a woman they've never met, based on a 10 second clip of her putting a cat in a bin, and I'm somewhat annoyed by their complete lack of perspective too.

People are dying all round the world, every day. Animals are getting hurt in plenty of other places, without recompense. Yet a cat gets slung in a bin, and actually ends up fine at the end, and it's MORAL OUTRAGE CENTRAL. Sorry, but that's just wrong. The contrast between this thread and the Pakistan one is what makes me despair for humanity, not some old biddy being a bit nasty to an ickle fluffy kitty.

I would suggest that there are plenty of other people in this thread more in needs of anger management than me. Just because I posted in capitals a bit doesn't make me angry.

How am I supposed to "like" a thread like this? How have I at any point even said I dislike it? I was just countering your silly "no-one ever hurt anyone in the countryside" argument. Stop being so sensitive.

I always wonder about the mental state of anyone that has to use an ignore list in order to be able to ignore someone. Can't you just...ignore them? That way, if he happens to post something amusing or inciteful, you won't miss it.

I have a limited amount of time on my hands. I dislike his posts that much that I would rather not even be momentarily distracted by them. All I need to see is the "This user is on your ignore list" and I know it must be some berk (rhyming slang for the win, yo) I don't care about.
 
Just saw on the News that police have idenified the woman.

I bet she had no idea what she was letting herself into when she decided to do that. All over the internet and the news with great quality CCTV footage of her doing it!
