Finance haters gonna hate :-)

He is an agent of Vauxhall. Don't hate the player, etc.

The point is, clearly, in the real world, it's very normal for people to not only buy new cars, but finance them, and it's socially acceptable to 'waste' money in this manner, as long as the customer is educated, and there are laws/codes of practice to enforce that to a degree, then the reality is, it's a personal decision, so there really isn't any issue to address..

I suspect he's just a little brain-washed by the extremism of some common underlying themes in Motors, but like many idealists on here, can't get their head around the 'big picture', as evidenced by a clear disparity between his behaviour on here, and his desire to work in a dealership which have massive conflicts of financial opinion.

:)

He doesn't need to work for a dealership, he 'wants' to.. it's not like he has to rip people off to put bread on the table is it?

I suspect that

That's a bloody good thing to be doing at 15, you can't possibly belittle that. What else would he 'choose' to do? A paper round?

wow 21 pages, this thread has exceeded my expectations and must only point to either my monumental stupidity or that of everyone posting.... hmmmmm :D

You contradict yourself with every post you make, frankly.

First its 5% APR. Then its 7%. Then its 13.5%.

First you wanted low monthly payments. Then when presented wth a way to make them lower, you dont care as you claim to be loaded.

Despite telling us about the low tax this car offers you.

Confusing.

If he truly felt such finance was a bad thing and has taken the OP to task over it, why would he actively persue a career that is based on, by his own measure, 'ripping people off' with no doubt the most inefficient car purchase models known to man..

Anyway, I expanded the post above to show the point I was really trying to make...

I'm a complicated person :D, I didn't expect anyone to understand... but it made for a worthwhile discussion

pat him on the thread?

Robbie, read what they are saying

Ummm what?
I was referring to robbie completely missing what people are saying regarding 'pat on the thread'.

Beg your pardon!

thought you were having a go saying the criticism is warranted

nevermind :D

Well I guess he does feel that way even if that's not what he was saying, as he was the one dishing out most of the criticism!

What does me living at home have to do with anything
This 39 year old male clearly doesn't know what he is doing so he needs all the advice he can get.

Wrong. He does know what he is doing and has clearly said many times he is happy with it all.
Just because you think he should be divorced for being dull, doesn't mean he needs help.
