Finance haters gonna hate :-)

Why does the mileage matter - your selling in 2 and half years?

Who cares if it has 2k on the clock, 5k on the clock or 25k on the clock.

You've said she hardly does any miles so in 2 and half years time it's still gonna be 'low mileage' no matter what i10 you got.

All you've done is shafted yourself so you can claim it's 'nearly new'.

2k and 25k is a lot of difference on a tiny car, maybe not for a large engined motorway car...

It's a nearly new car, ie - almost no milage, and mint

Nope, all he has done his shafted himself so that he can start this attention seeking, masochistic thread. At first I suspected stupidity, or perhaps more charitably ignorance was at the root of this situation but now I feel it is probably a desperate craving for attention. Just like a dog or a toddler, it doesn’t matter if that attention is good or bad.

Nice post, adds nothing to the thread that seems to of got so much attention... now those even without anything to say at all are posting.

My parents owned a small car from 0 miles through till about 45k miles, then I owned said car from 45k to 65k before selling it.

It was a small car but nothing went bang at 25k, nothing went wrong at 45k - infact nothing went wrong for the 65k and 10 years our family owned it.

Serviced and MOTed once a year and it didn't skip a beat.
A 25k 2 year old i10 would have exploded after another 5 miles.

why to losers like fox and others care so much that someone took a shoddy finance deal, what difference does it make, it was his choice ffs why all the hate

Oh and the Comfort isn't base spec, it's the next one up :D

New would cost him £9180 or £9545 (Metallic) in Automatic, there are no decent discount on these small cars so he'd probably have paid £9180 to buy one new (FREE METALLIC WOOHOO).

So a two year old car for £6995 which was £9545 new is a 26% Saving off new price! (assuming prices haven't gone up or come down since 08)
Total cash price is £7055.50 (Including 6 months tax) and after a £500 deposit leaves a balance of £6555.50.

To achieve a payment of £150 a month over a term of 60 months the interest would need to be 7.45% flat - which works out roughly at about 14.9% APR.

I don't think the price of the car is bad, but I think you could have got the finance cheaper at a rate of below 6% which would give you a payment of £10 a month less.

Or compare to the hyundai approved i10 I posted a couple of pages back; £6999, 59 plate (Jan 2010), 5000 miles, same spec and same colour. Over a year newer, but twice the (low) miles.
And how do you work out it's a saving off new price? That's just depreciation because it's old and used, and considering it's two years old it's not enough off.

It's a discussion forum. He came on here to show us the car, so they are discussing it.

All that money on a tin can with wheels. Fantastic.

I think discussion/debate and ridiculing are two completely separate things, but don't let that stop anyone..

It's like some people are so bent out of shape you just know this is the only time they get to wear the trousers..

:D

I did make some comments about you not valuing your time earlier which were in my view perfectly valid. Homo Economicus appears to be absent.

By the way, of and have or not interchangeable.
;)
