This is my second build (the last one being well over 4 years ago) and since I am on a budget I have settled for an older generation processor that I am hoping to clock:
Intel Core 2 Q6600 (hoping to clock to 3.2ghz)
ASUS P5Q Deluxe
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT
2GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 RAM
Soundblaster Audigy2 Platinum (with front panel)
DVD Writer x2 (I do a LOT of backing up)
Western Digital SATA 7200rpm x1
Basically I'd like to know what the best PSU is for that set up with potential for probably upgrading the card in the next 3 months and maybe adding a second HDD. I did two of the online calculators for working out wattage and both came to just below 400watts but that feels a bit low.
I've tried as hard as I can to avoid posting on forums to ask questions about my latest build (there is a LOT of information...probably more than I could ever hope to need on practically every part of building your own PC) but this PSU thing always stumps me and I certainly don't want to fry the stuff I have just bought!
