Finance haters gonna hate :-)

^ *snigger*.

at end of day what someone pays is up to them, and I now see the error of my ways, I should have waited 3 weeks, spotted the better deal on net with my time machine, took out a lower APR bank loan and saved £10 a week. The other option I now find is I could have paid more monthly for a new car, why didn't I think of that!

Very funny, but I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing the alternatives. Even you would have been disappointed (surprised?) if everyone had just gone, 'fair play, nice car great deal'.

It's a forum filled with car enthusiasts, what do you expect ? ...anyway you can talk, you're a biker and I often hear bikers go on about the superior experience they get on a bike and how in touch they are with their surroundings and how fast they are etc. I'm not saying that you do this, but a good number of bikers do.

I think bikers go on about being in touch with surroundings as they often end up head first into them :)

The fast bit is true though... :D

To be fair to you all, If it were a car for myself it would have been a Hawk Eye scoob or similar... maybe a better deal as well who knows

The i10 is certainly not my cup of tea... and though it's fun nipping about in it the experience leaves you feeling empty and wanting more, and thats something no little micro car is gonna give without a Hayabusa engine transplant :)

Why you couldnt have just bought the car outright and then gone on the holiday you were taking about with a 0% credit card, thus saving youself the interest, is beyond me.

It's just the 'loathe' aspect, that's got zero to do with car enthusiasm, and everything to do with irrationality..

Do you know I can't remember the last time you posted in this forum about cars rather than just about the opinions of other posters.

This thread is so amazing, I can't believe I haven't posted anything yet.

Seems to be a lot of money for an i10, and the i10 is a lot of money for what it is.

On the point of car snobbery, it's probably not just cars. We're probably snobs with everything :p

On the point of not wanting a big car to sit in traffic, I'd say the opposite. Driving a barge through traffic is great. It complements the snobbery, and is actually a really pleasant experience!

Sitting in traffic, with some music on, in a nice comfortable car isn't a waste of your life at all.

I think it probably is for the simple reason you're in your car to transport you from one place to another, and the traffic is stopping the process.

If what you say is correct, you would often just go and sit in your car and listen to music while parked :)

So, as you've now been made to look a complete idiot, your solution is that it doesn't matter because you should ride a motorbike anyway?

Don't get me wrong, I like bikes but they are a world apart from cars.

Funny thing is over whole thread, at no point have I looked back at deal and thought 'ohhh crap'.... hence not feeling a idiot.

What is far more idiotic is someone piping up and saying they enjoy sitting in traffic... which is slightly off topic anyhow, but thats my fault :)

Oh, I bet you have ;)

I don't like sitting in traffic, but I'd rather be sat in a car waiting an extra minute here and there in traffic than riding a motorbike.

Extra min here and there is inaccurate at least for me... commuting by bike save me almost 3hrs a week, which I can spend doing things I want to do rather than are forced to without choice

I love my town commute. I don't get stuck in traffic, it's really nice and comfortable, takes 10 minutes and I get to listen to Chris Moyles.

It could be better though, i have often thought about getting a more suitable city car. Like an automatic 7 Series.
