What's up with the Voice chat?

I've only played 3 games in 1 on 1 with a mate over the net but it worked fine - just strange how it pulls the push-to-talk key from your Steam chat settings.

That is because it uses steam for the voice chat. There is no independant voice chat in the worms game.
 
My friend and I want to play a game with a couple of random peeps. There doesn't seem to be any option to do this. Or am I missing something?

I like the game, but I would like them to sort out the menu system, the options and the bugs pretty quickly!
 
Me and my brother both run it really smoothly at 1920x1080

my spec is q6600 @ stock, 4gb, gtx260
his spec is e5300 @ stock, 4gb, 8800gt

Both W7 x64, and using Windows Security Essentials

You dont even need to use the girders in this level, you fire the sheep and it can be turned to fly.
 
Does anyone else find the screaming Worms a hilarious addition?

I think you're thinking of another level. The 1 with the Super Sheep and the mine at the other end is fairly straight forward. Campaign 18 is the 1 where you have to plant a Electro Magnet to launch the mine.

Why? Is it not possible to enjoy a game unless it was released by Activision with the intention of making gaming as brainless as possible?
