So, I've never really been happy with the silver centre section of my dash - it has always been covered in a weird coating which refused to be cleaned up fully.

My 'mate' had a go at doing it too, which resulted in this lovely black mark!!

Not good! So, it's either buy a new one £300!! Or get it wrapped! I opted for the wrap, which cost me £80 all in (took about 90 mins). The job isn't as 'perfect' as I'd like/expect, but it's very good!

However, I'm not totally sure it looks right with the surrounding mundane black plastics?? Thoughts?

Also, I added the F1 decals (a delete option on the car from new) to the front and rear bumpers. Please excuse the state of my car - no tyre dressing!! :newbie:

I kind of like them, makes it look a bit less bland :)

You paid someone to do that?

Could have done it yourself for £15~

I've done wing mirrors, dash trim peices, allsorts.

Yeah I know it's a bit lazy, but the piece itself is a right pain to get off.

I've bought some 3M stuff from eBay which I'll use to practice on smaller pieces with

Correct. It's very, very good, but not quite perfect. Much better than I could have done myself, I'm sure!

You say that, but it's really not that difficult. Granted to do wing mirrors it took me a few attempts, but I've only ever bought one sheet of the stuff, so its still cost me less than £20 to (in effect) do it 4 times.

The fact that Renault want £350 (retail price) for a replacement piece of plastic is even more shocking! I cannot see how they can justify that at all.

Where did you get your big piece of DI-NOC? I did my the back of my phone today and it is amazing stuff, with a bit of heat it really adheres/stretches over curves.

I have crappy plain plastic wing mirrors on my fiesta and want to DI-NOC them for added chav factor.
