What do you think happens when you die?

I would imagine the universe will be largely unaffected. A few people will be upset. My body will decompose or be burnt. Either way my constituent parts will eventually be used up by other processes. Who knows one day some bit of energy released from my rotting corpse could be used in making a lady's boob, or an alien flange - now there's a thought.

My organs go to people that need them, once im in their body I will take over their brain and soon after "I will take over the world" :)

Mwahahahahahaaaaa!

Why is this forum full of depressing people?

No-one is religious or actually believe in something..

Spending eternity with a needy guy who requires people to worship him under threat of torture, especially a guy who thinks a bit of sodomy should mean execution, sounds worse than "nothing".

We become part of the Earth. Then part of the stars. Essentially just part of the Universe again.

But maybe Earth is the organism? What if all of our atomic particles eventually form one, all encompassing organism.

Or even if space is. We could describe it as omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, even universal, and perhaps because of that we may reach some higher place eventually. We are after all minor beings. But here because of a God? I highly doubt it!

Your body obviously doesn't go to some place called heaven but whether you totally lose all of your brain functions, if say you die of old age or something. Surely your whole brain doesn't suddenly de-activate, just some of the functions such as consciousness? Maybe the sub-conscious is still active for some time? I don't know just guessing.
