Hey, I'm looking into trying out Aion again - and was wondering if there is anyone here that is playing it? And if so, do you think it would be worth me giving it another go?

I really miss it, but if it's going to be empty when I get there, then there is no point me restarting.

they had a welcome back weekend not so long ago i decided why not :) loged on there was a lot of people online and i mean a lot (duno if it was cuz of the welcome back or not)
got ganked (still only lvl30) alf-f4 lol, really not into pvp mmorpg's as i thought i would be tbh, so for me not so fun but i must say there was a lot of people online so id assume its still a well populated game.
 
isnt there a massive patch going live or just been released that changed a lot. pity i didnt know about the welcome back weekend though :(
i would have tried it again
 
Got a 60 day time card a while back for it, as I always liked the art style and setting. It's pretty crowded since the server merges, even the lower level areas.

There's not a single sign of the goldsellers and bots that made me leave the first time around, which was a pleasant surprise.

Otherwise, it's not a significantly different game from the one I played a half a year ago.
 
Aion 2.0 - Assault on Balaurrrrrrr(sp) is released in a week or so.. massive free update and gfx overhaul...

I've just gone back to it and still enjoy the PvP, but it all depends on what server your on.. imo it still has the best classes/skills of any MMo i've played..

If I am to start again, which side and server would you recommend for me?
 
i resubbed a few months back to find the game really enjoyable again, even with 2 level 50's the endgame didnt seem as dull since the server merges, perento asmo side is very well populated with all levels, still finding a lot of groups for the lower level instances on my alts. also the new update is next week which adds new content for lower levels aswell as the level 50's and a number of tweaks and fixes to game, look promising :)
 
Thread has peaked my interest in Aion again.
Might well get patched up and give another months sub a go, especially as I only really stopped after my trial due to WoW raiding which I have (long) since stopped....
 
Do NOT go Spatalos as Asmodian. That server is fubar. All decent asmodians have gone to Perento or Telemachus or something like that.
 
The one where is showed snow gathering on the ground and housing and stuff? Nope, that was pure makebelieve by the look of things.
 
im tempted to resub but ive had a crapload of emails lately about my password being changed/account banned/stolen.
im guessing its similar to teh warcraft spam? as i was able to log in the website etc ok, anyone else get this?
