why does everyone here have 2 monitors?

Well first off it looks good on the desk :) secondly you can game on one monitor whilst having the internet for example open on the other monitor.

Great for multitasking or if you just need more desktop space to work with. To get the most out of dual monitors you need a programme like ultramon which is designed for multiple monitors.

2 is not enough, I want more.

I use one for coding the other for preview. Still need another for chats and misc. I most usually have 2 browsers open. One for videos and one for reading. When gaming I leave skype/chats up on one and game on the other.

You can live with one monitor, but once you try two, it's just better. I imagine it'll be the same for three in comparison to two. Having that extra space to spread your apps and not have to constantly switch.

Works better for work/coding purposes. We all have dual-monitors at work.

I use two 17" monitors at work, and one 24" widescreen at home as it fills my desk nicely.

I use two monitors at work.

It's great for multitasking.

When comparing documents, or composing an email, which references data from another application, I can have both visible at once, and save time by not flicking backwards and forwards.

It's even better with multiple high resolution widescreen monitors, as you then have enough screen space to have up to 4 documents open side-by-side!

I use my 2 as it helps a massive amount doing business stuff. I have my order software on one screen, and everything else on the other. No switching screens. It does make a difference. Plus, it makes me look cool :p

Plus, check the FAQ for sig sizes, yours is waaaay too big! 400x75 Maximum 20KB.

Means I can chat to my girlfriend on the webcam while gaming. :p Plus it's handy having an extra monitor for testing stuff.

Yeah I have two at work - smaller one for Thunderbird, Spotify and FTP, and bigger one for Chrome, PhotoShop and Illustrator.

so i can do one thing on one screen and keep an eye on others on the other, good for graphic design too, PS open in one screen and various other bits resources and wotnot open in the other, plus, 2 smaller monitors are often cheaper and provide more desk space then 1 large screen ;)

it's great for a couple of things
i use it at work for CAD and databases.
wish i had enough space on my desk at home for another one :(
