I am confuse.

"Short back and sides, please", "Like this (gesture towards hair) but shorter" and "Number (insert number 1, 2 or 3) please mate" are the only hairstyles you need to know.

A V-cut hair cut is basically a Mohawk. The differences is the back isn't like a straight down cut, it's in the shape of a V. So the sides behind your ears are kind of thin. It was in fashion about 2-3 years ago.

Yeah sort of if you let it grow into that. But rat tail cut, is just hair cut into a fringe and then not straightened. With a V-Cut all the backside is level, it's just the length is a tad longer at the bottom. And much neater.
