A load of people (usually ~15) have their cars run on a rolling road to find out what power they are making. It's often done so people have an idea as to what power they are making before and after mods, rather than as an expect representation as to the actual power...but is also used for that.

That normally takes the morning (~9am - 12pm) and then the afternoon is off for a spirited drive to the pub for some food and chatting, then people can go for passenger rides in cars that they like. Late afternoon, early evening (depending on how long people hang about) is then the end with everyone heading off home. People often start slowly leaving throughout the afternoon though.

Thanks InvaderGIR that sounds quite interesting, can stock cars come? I would be interested in seeing if my motor hasn't got any power issues.

How much is it? and I would vote for a place in Surrey :)

Oxide,

You don't even have to run your car, people often come to watch and for the social aspect of it. Running will range from £25-£35 I'd say. Standard cars, modified, whatever, so long as it fits on the rollers and doesn't have a silly auto box it will be fine :)

Oi! Nowt wrong with "silly" autoboxes! ;)

But, yeah, many people turn up just to meet up with people, and have passenger rides in something a bit different to their usual cars.

Now then... do I bring my VR-4, the Super VR-4, or the MX-5...? ;)

I'll be selfish on this one :p. If it was closer to London I'd be tempted, but I can't really justify the over £100 to get to PowerStation bearing in mind the car was RRed at the beginning of this month :)

If it ends up at Eurospec it would be rude not to seeing as it's just down the road from me! Just as long as they can RR the S3. I know some rollers struggle with the Haldex system on it.

130 miles there, 130 back.. you could do that on a tank, so £70? :p

The sentiment is the same with me and ultimately why I didn't go to the last one.

Problem is that it's always going to be the same - a RR on someones doorstep is always going to be 300 miles away from someone else.

I'd hate for it to break into two different events but it's one of those things that is never going to suit everyone.

I'd probably go if its at powerstation as i may be doing some sligh mods to my car so would be interesting to see the effects from the last RR i took it to down GotBoost.

I don't see what the problem is with Powerstation.

So the run is more expensive than other places... but you have to ask yourself... what are they skimping on if the costs are lower? Maintainance? Equipment?

We all know the PS rollers pretty well and can usually tell if they're reading incorrectly. Not to mention, a run that's £10 cheaper may well equate to spending an extra £10-£15 in fuel to get there. Oh but wait, we get free pizza... wow, I'm sold.

I think the bottom line is who is going to put themselves forward to organise it. People can vote for other locations all they want, but if nobody is going to do the hardwork organising the event, it won't happen!

I would like to attend, it would be my first ever dyno run but most shockingly of all it would be my first ever OcUK meet

My car isn't modified though but I'm curious as to it's actual power output. Location wise I'm willing to travel anywhere as being located in the midlands anywhere will be a mission to get to.

Is it strictly OcUK or can I bring my friend with his ACS?
