Enough of the parts i need to bulid my new computer has arrived!

, its going to be a fun night!

I will be making a full bulid log, but half of the watercooling parts that i need wont be turning up for a few weeks

this is just mainly a test to see if most of the parts are working

.

Hmm there is no sli bridge in either of the POV boxes is it ok to use sli without them?.

SLI bridges are normally supplied with the motherboard not the GPU (This is because the motherboard manufacturer knows what the distance between their 16way slots is.)

With Nvidia SLI, the bridge should come with the motherboard.

AFAIK you can't SLI without a bridge.

What are the final specs of the system you are building, out of interest?

Ye theres a sli and a 3 way sli bridge in the motherboard box.

You found the bridge but it should work ok without, I have flogged my sli setup now but didnt use a bridge.

What programs do you think i should use to test everything?.

Prime 95 or Intel Burn Test to check for stability and your favorite game to test the gpu

Ok there is somthing very very wrong

the CPU is idiling at 89 95 100 97 !!!

Re check the heatsink is installed ok, are you using the std cooler.

I know its silly asking but did you remove any protective film on the bottom of heatsink?

When i built my old PC i kept noting in my head to remove it but forgot to do it.
