Who do I speak to? What do I do ? I dont know where to begin.

I brought a cpu for £95 from Settleddown, who had zero trust ratings at the time when I had purchased it.

He sent me a faulty CPU and had agreed to take the cpu back and issue a refund. I returned the CPU under next day special delivery that he had received and confimed via text message.

It has been nearly a month since I had returned the cpu and is ignoring text messages or phone calls.

He now has my MONEY and CPU.
I got robbed of £95, what can I do?

Assume you've done the below already?

Members Market Rules Version 2.0.5 - Last edited - 19/08/2010 said:
5. Problem Deals

If you are having problems concerning a trade, such as not receiving goods or money, then consider the situation very carefully before taking your next action. DO NOT POST ON THE FORUM with a complaint or a whinge.

Have you allowed sufficient time? Many have been embarrassed due to complaints or comments made only to later find that the sender has been in hospital or otherwise genuinely removed from web access. It happens.

If you have followed the ‘Trading Guidelines’ then you will have the other party's full name, address, email and telephone number. Attempt contact by these means first. If necessary, write to the other party by recorded delivery.

If you continue to have genuine and continuing problems with a trader then inform one of the Members Market Dons, by email, providing FULL information concerning the trade, the other party, what was agreed and any contact from the other party. The Members Market Dons may be able to help but nothing is promised. It is most important that you advise the Dons of problems – you may not be the only person experiencing such problems involving the other party.

If the matter cannot be quickly resolved following notification to the Dons (or the Dons have already learned of problems concerning this individual) then the Dons will consider suspending the account of the other party until such time that all outstanding trades have been satisfactorily completed. The decision to lift account suspension will be taken by the Members Market Dons in conjunction with Spie and their decision will be final.

I have his full details.

I am really stressed, £95 is a lot of money for me, that took me a while to save up.

Sorry to hear of this, its not nice when anyone gets scammed, unfortunatly there is always going to be a high risk element when buying from someone with 0 Trust, saying that, people do have to start from the bottom, which is why I never buy high value items from someone with a 0 trust rating as you can afford to lose a couple of quid but not £90.

i got ripped on ebay for around 200£ 8800 ultrathink it happened back in 2005 or 06 i bank xfered the amount and was devastated to realise it was a scam i was just 15 and felt sick to my stomach

You sound like a young guy given that £95 is a lot of money to you so im guessing you don't want to pay him a visit and get your money back yourself :p

best thing to do first is what has been suggested contact a mod here, then contact the police. :) good luck
