Ive played the ps3 demo and the pc demo and love the game! Unfortunatly i have a ATI gpu so i lose out on all the nice little extras when it comes to the pc version. Does psysicx add much to the game in the long run? Has any one played both?

Even with P-X off does the pc version still look a lot better than the ps3 version? (being able to put vsync on etc) thanks for your help :)

EDIT: thanks for all your help :) TBh i know the pc graphics ARE better.. but im talking about nvida PX. the consoles support the little px effects wheer ati doesnt. im more asking does having px make THAT much diffrence to how the game looks?

RIGHT!! ...Ive done some tests :P

Test setup:
1 Monitor connected to pc (dvi) and the ps3 (through HDMI)I played the ps3 demo version (30 seconds at a time) then switched to the pc version. I did this right upto the end of the demo. While i didnt notice ANY added little px effects (which the ps3/xbox version boasts about on some websites) I noticed something else... The ps3 version seems to be stuck at around 25-30 fps where the pc version (well mine) is a constant 60 (with v sync) It makes a MASSIVE diffrence. The game feels so much more responsive, fresh and free flowing. SO even if there were a lot of px effects on the ps3 version... i would still get the pc version :D hope this helps any one else wanting to know the question

Result:
IF you have a pc that can run it at 60fps + you have a 360 pc controller.. .. get it on the pc!

I just had a thought, why are you comparing them graphically? Surely you know the ps3 is going to be stable and not the best graphics possible?

You should be thinking about which style of play you wish to play Batman AA in... At your desk, tense with keyboard and mouse, or on the sofa with a bag of crisps chilling out?

ags

Why would he be tense?

I played the game using a ATI 5870 video card, and I had a bit of mare getting the AA support to work. Bit of google and a few patches later and finally I got some AA into the game.

Batman Arkham was one of those games on the PC that didn't do well with ATI cards until patched. I can't comment on the Phyics X stuff for PC - I couldnt use it, when I tried, it was just a slideshow with my rig.

I also played the game on the PS3 and it totally rocked.. It was an amazing game and to be honest, when it came down to the graphics.. Nah, its all about the game. This is a great game on any system, and to sit on the sofa and chill and play a fantastic super hero game... Well, PS3 won that...

The PC was fab as well, but it took a bit more effort to get it up and running... and it also crashed a couple of times on my system - but that might have been just my fault.

Oh PS3 does have some sixaxis fun, and the PS3 has the joker maps....

lol?

I think the majority of PC gamers have a controller for these types of games...and if people wanted to play their PC games on a TV it's hardly difficult

OP: I'd get it on the PC, and use a 360 controller.

Or... Get the PC version and plug a DS3 pad into your USB socket and grab motioninjoy DS3 controller drivers, if you've got bluetooth in your PC, great..

Use a PS3 pad on your PC, on your TV and have 1920 x 1080 60fps Batman fun using a 40+ inch TV etc, PS3 pad on your sofa with a drink in hand and enjoy..!! What I did..

But, its such a great game PS3 or PC, on a TV at 5 feet away, well after a while you get into the game and forget about PS3 running at 720p...

Only thing I would say... PS3 you can pick the game up for like a tenner and then trade up when finished... PC, on Steam is quite expensive, shop around you should get it for a tenner, but you can't really sell PC games on as easily..

Choices eh? lol
