My current spec is as follows:

Core2Duo E6420 @3GHz
7800GTX
OCZ Modstream 450W
ASUS P5N-E
Geil 2GB PC6400 DDR2
22" Benq monitor which is 1920x1080.

My 7800GTX is really getting on a bit now. It really struggles with my new larger monitor and the second dvi port on it is a bit knackered so I get a dodgy flicker on my tv when attached.

So I was thinking of upgrading but I'm not sure what to. I would like to spend around the £100 mark, maybe a bit more.

Problem is I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. For starters, I use XP so can't get dx11. Secondly, I'm not sure anything in my price range would be good enough to play the latest games anyway. Then there's the possibility of my PSU not being up to it. And finally, even if I did get something half decent, would the rest of my pc bottleneck it?

Thanks for any help.

What games do you want to play better? I'd be looking at a 4890.
Mostly FPS, maybe some driving/sports games as well.

And thanks for the links stulid. Do you think I'll have any power issues with either of those?

Also, how much better is dx11 over 10? As I would like to upgrade my whole system but won't be able to afford that for a few months, so don;t want to be left with a card that will be lagging come the new build!

In that case I'd get a 460 now to use OR wait and upgrade the whole lot in a few months time if you can wait and see what the 6xxx series brings.
