best looking fan controller ive seen...

did not like it, rather it sat in a bay

having it a bay will make the front of the pc look cluttered as many pc's do.

having it on your desk would make a lovely adhesion to anyone desk i personally think.

i personally cant wait to get one and get rid of my fan controller.

i have started a suggestions thread here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18185263 as asked by ocuk to do so.

if we can show some interest in this fan controller then they might get some in.

i personally want one but they wont get just one for me so we have to have at least 10 i think to make ocuk worth getting some in.

I can't view that thread but you can +1 for me.
Someone in the UK has to stock it. I'm sure OC will do well in selling an initial batch as they would be the ONLY place in the UK with them!

i still havent got a reply yet but im sure at least 10 of us would want one.

Am I the only one who doesn't want a big box sitting ontop of his pc for fan controls? I've never really since the point of them before as I highly doubt anyone actually ever uses them. Just set them to a speed and be done. Which if you just bought nice fans you can't hear anyway. At least, I can't hear my pc right now. But to have a big box which screams ahhhhhh geeeeeeek is OTT. Plus I like having my space :)

That was quite a rant about a fan control gizmo. Haha, I think I need to go back to bed.

It's not normal to feel such an obsessive rant needs to be said over a fan controller haha. I just I dunno, do any of you actually need it? isn't it just a waste of money? It's going to be expensive you know!

:EDIT:

I think it looks like a mistake thats why. One of those things which you think "cool i'll get that" then it just sits there and you relise the only reason you are using it is because you bought it and not because you have a perpose for. Like when you buy a novelty pen and realise you could be using any pen but you had to use this one because you paid extra!

i see your point.

bit like buying a £30,000 car to drive from a to b than buying a car for £1000 to do the same really.

i want to free up some drive bays in my pc which has 2 slots taken with a fan controller and a memory card reader so this desk fan controller would suit my need's.

The reason I need one of these is quite simple really and not for cool factor or geekiness.
My pc case is hidden away under and at the back of my quite large desk making any alterations to a drive bay fitted controller a pain and quite awkward.
The main reason I need a fan controller being that i have added extra case fans to combat the summer heat and hike in temps. I now have 3x200mm and 5x120mm case fans. Although the fans are good quality and quieter models mostly (apart from the 2 on my cpu cooler) I really just want to be able turn some of them off (which this controller allows you to do) and others down when weather cools down.
At the moment my PC is a little too loud for my liking and i'm sure just turning some of them down a little will quieten it down substantially.
This desktop controller also allows you to turn it off when you have the fan profiles set as you like so, after I have it set-up i'll turn it off anyway ( I don't want flashing LCD lights distracting me on my desk) So it certainly isn't about having 1 of these for "cool factor" it's more about a practical solution to an annoying problem I have. For me anyway.

if any one's google skills are better than mine then can you please message me as to where i can buy this fan controller in the uk please.

Have found a retailer with this item in stock (£53.23). Never used them so I don’t know if they are reputable/reliable.

Would post a link but I assume that posting another retailer is against the rules?

cant find any in uk only 5.25 bay models. if we ask nicely OcUK might stock them.

Just put a product suggestion in for this item.
