A few fans of the XFM radio shows and podcasts (from Ricky Gervais, Steven Merchant and Karl Pilkington) thought it would be a good idea to start a thread with just random Gervais/Merch/Dilkington related content.

I loved the Office, I thought Extras was ok, I don't like any of his stand up but I did find his podcasts with Stephen and Karl Pilkington to be hilarious.

Overrated, over-hyped and so far up his own arse it defies belief.

Maybe I'll just go into the Football forum and start making hundreds of posts about how boring I find that then, although that's tantamount to trolling, much like most of the posts so far in this thread...

I don't think his brilliance is self-imagined, but perhaps the awards and critical acclaim he is always receiving helps.

The Office was original, but the podcasts are much better in terms of laughs-per-minute.

I do agree he comes across arrogant, which is a bit grating. Small doses help
