So I'm leaving to move to uni on the 19th, and I will be leaving my main desktop behind. For whatever reason if I am stuck in halls on a lonely night and need something to play, can you guys reccommend games that have high replay value, but will run on a laptop with 1.6Ghz duo core, 512mb ram and a 128mb graphics card! :D

I'm not talking about story based games which you could play over again (cause i don't think you could :p ) but instead games like plants Vs Zombies, defense grid, that sort of thing.

Thanks

Grab yourself a copy of 'Command and Conquer 1st decade'.
Can be found online for under a tenner and is brilliant.

Civ 3 / 4
Alpha Centauri
Baldurs Gate 1 + 2
Sacred Gold (I much prefer this over Diablo 2)
C+C First Decade

A couple I thought of myself, others were already mentioned and I agree.

Ooooohhhh, if you can find it .... Warlords III Darklords Rising, madeningly addictive strategy game, its a shame they stopped making them, and that Warlords 4 was rubbish.

Plenty of RPGs and strategy games, both RTS and TBS. Some examples:

Planescape: Torment
Icewind Dale I and II
Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2
Baldurs Gates I and II
Diablo 2
Gothic 1 and 2
Morrowind
KOTOR I and II
Mount and Blade: Warband
Warcraft 1-3

Heroes of Might and Magic I-III
Rollercaster Tycoon 1-3
Civilization 1-4
Settlers 1-4
Age of Empires I and II
Sim City 4

and **** loads more tbf
