***** Playstation Move Thread *****

Now I am tempted to get the Wand on my way home!! I assume today is the release date and I can walk into a shop and buy this?

Think its Friday as normal game releases - hopefully my Moves here tomorrow
Screen size shouldn't make a difference???
Yeah - just realised that, but a 24" might be a bit small for motion control...

TV size won't matter one bit, unless your arms block your view :D

Of course, you may be standing further back in which case a bigger TV would be nice.

Well I think thats what Im wondering - Im used to using a 24" for PC work and the PS3 so I sit appropriately (in front of a desk). Just thinking of the whole Move thing and Ill easily be double the distance away so just wondering if its time for a TV upgrade...

40" is just too big right? :(:D:p

I'd say 42"->50" is about the optimal range, assuming it's at a suitable height. Of course, anything larger should work fine as well ;)

We have the Wii on a 42" Panny plasma, and it's great.

I need to use it for PC work :p. Think it end up being a 32" one - just nice to qualify the upgrade - was hoping to kill this 2407 by now...

Screensize will make zero difference to the controls. :)

Just been to the shops, not releases until Friday. About to place order online as I am feeling lazy :)

Played this at the PlayStation event a few weeks back in Birmingham. Wasn’t very impressed so I stick to my Wii for a while longer until better games come out for Move.

Mine arrived today.

The Shoot is unplayable without the gun peripheral which is a shame; there's no option to enable an onscreen pointer which obviously makes aiming with just the move controller cumbersome. After testing it though it is very accurate, just too difficult without the gun peripheral to help you aim.

Table Tennis is great, i'm shocked at how well it detects my wrist movements when i attempt over and under spin; it does what i want it to do pretty much all the time.

Resident Evil 5 Gold works wonderfully, like the Wii version of Resi 4 but with less input lag which is a winner for me.

That's all i've had time to test so far. Got lots of marking to do :(. Will have a look at the tumble demo and Heavy Rain: Move later hopefully.

All in all i'm pleased with the first impressions. It's pretty much what i wanted; the same concept as the Wii but more accurate, responsive and with better graphics.

Im awaiting mine to be delivered on friday like a lot of others... early reports suggest that the responsiveness is spookily accurate even compared to wii motion+, which will make for a steeper learning curve in a number of games - but sounds good to me.

I'll spend an hour or two browsing and installing from PSN i think til i get my new toys, apparently there are lots of demos and patches etc there now but they will inevitably take a while and spoil a lot of fun out of things if i wait until friday

Got mine today as a pre-order that I forgot about! The starter disk is a bit naff as each demo doesn't last that long.

Tiger Woods is what I wasexpecting, tempted to get that. The Shoot seems quite good, but Sports Champions is what I'lldefinitely be grabbing soon. Played it few months ago and a couple of the games are crap but most are quite good.

Was hoping Heavy Rain would be Move compatible but it's not until 22nd Sep :( Only reason I really bought Move wasfor HR!

Resident Evil 5 Gold works wonderfully, like the Wii version of Resi 4 but with less input lag which is a winner for me.

If it works just to be expected like that, then all the more reason for me to invest in the Move. Though really, this is currently the only game at the moment I can get any use out of, so it feels like a waste. That is if the Gold Edition gets released on the PC, then it is all moot.

I did originally have 2 controllers and 1 sub controller on preorder but recently cancelled them as to be brutally honest there isn't a single game that looks worth playing atm, waiting until next year see if anything none gimmicky comes out that actually benefits from move and isn't just a feature tacked on to gain extra sales. Sorcery is looking good but it's still a while to release, and one game doesn't warrant a purchase.

Got my navigation controller yesterday, move controller today. No sign of Sports Champion, even though it was the first item to be dispatched. :o

I got a wrist strap with the move controller, but I don't recall getting one with the navigation controller. I've binned the packaging etc.. so can't check. Can anyone confirm?

So how do you connect the eyetoy to the top of your TV? My TV setup wouldn't allow for the camera to be placed underneath, I'd have to mount on the top, but the TV panel is quite thin.. Doubt it'll balance well.

Does the camera come with some type of attachment to flat panel or something..?

You can buy the attachment (£5?)

Table tennis is great, but The Shoot is backwards/broken :-/ Haven't tried anything else but will definately pick up Sports Champions at some point...

Nice to hear something positive about Tiger Woods as that's what I got the controller for :)
