Codemasters F1 2010 X360/PS3 (contains important question about 2011 game!!!)

Didn't notice that as I had to skip through the video...

The Fantec does have paddles they are just very small and need next to no movement to shift.

IGN review

Is this a critism or compliment?

He's been absolutely amazing this year, as he was in the final two races last season, and if this is a critism of Kamui, the reviewer clearly isn't in to F1 that much.

Stereotypical Japanese driver, always off the road, is there a Japanese driver in the game, yes? insert name with comment about gravel traps

Wasn't a great review tbh, skimmed over all the features.

My thoughts exactly. The IGN review was a let down... I read the gamesradar review straight after and it started off by giving a detailed review of the handling... something so obvious, and that the ign review didn't. Rubbish !

Anyone recommend a wheel stand...i have the official M$ wheel so need a decent wheelstand to use it with...ive seen the wheelstand pro and the rennesport one from fanatec.

Problem is that space is a premium in my bedroom so i need something that will work well...i noticed on the rennesport stand it says you need an adaptor for the M$ wheel....anyone know what adaptor i need??...it doesnt actually say which adaptor you need.

Anyhow anyone who has used one or the other can give me some advice as to which one to get??.

thanks

I just got the wheel stand pro and would definatley reccomend that. Sturdy enough and doesn't take up too much space. No real assembly needed. only need to clamp wheel on + secure peddles. Very easy to put away and store when not in use. Using the logitech driving force GT. can buy it with the clamp for the MS wheel or can pay £20 more and have it so you can swap between the DFGT and MS wheel.

I'm not trying to spark anything, but I'm more or less certain that the 360 version will be better in performance. PS3 doesn't do well against the 360 /pc as developers never optimise as well for the PS3 when its cross platform.

Dirt 2 suffered a lot more screen tear then the 360 on the PS3. Sad fact is, the PS3 version will be the worse performer, but it'll still be ok.. I'm getting the Ps3 version, but I expect screen tearing - but I'm hoping to use my DFGT with the game.

Thanks for the comments and the Eurogamer link earlier. I think it may come down to the fact I can use my wheel on the PS3 also.

After watching the Dirt2 comparison (posted by MrLatte I think), I can't say that I saw any differences graphically. So even if there are some minute ones, I certainly wouldn't expect to notice them whilst I'm focusing on driving.

Same with the screen tearing. I've not experienced a big tear whilst playing Dirt2 on PS3, and whilst its odds on there will have been some tearing (inevitable), I havn't noticed many if any, because I am engrossed in the game.

PS3 is far better than it perhaps used to be with cross-platform games. The majority of cross-platform games look equal to my eye and probably most people's eyes, between the 2 consoles. (COD4 as an example looks pretty much exactly the same to me on both and I own both versions)

i ordered mine from zavvi for £31.99, never used them before but there owned by hmv i believe. So a pretty big company, hopefully that'll mean quick and organised service.

tempted to get a wheel now too after seeing all these reviews. shame there isn't one that'll work on both platforms as i currently own a 360, but looking to get the ps3 for gran turismo 5.

yeh there is the fanatec turbo or whatever its called works on PC,PS3 and 360 just a bit pricy :D

i've just noticed that actually, i don't recall seeing it in the supported wheels listed earlier in the thread though. maybe i just missed it.

260 euros from there home site.

are they really worth that much more over the normal ms version?

well don't know if its supported in the game haven't looked at that ;)

guess its worth if you got the money (i don't at the mo) but everyone i know who has it says they won't use another wheel anymore

Yes its worth the money, especially if you can get the clubsport pedals as well. Took a little getting used to but really pleased with the setup and use it on GTR/RACE on PC, Foraz on Xbox and will use with GT5

Same here, First time ordering with them too.

I suppose pre-orders tend to come in a day early? If any of my other pre-order purchases are to go by, It tends to be the case.

I've been using them for the past year, Everything I pre-order comes from them and ever single one has turned up on the Thursday. :)
