FIFA 11 on PC to use next-gen engine

Yeah of course. But they haven't given me a reason to buy the PC over the 360 version. Better rez and framerates (even if it does look good and play silky smooth) isn't a big pull if we've still got last years gameplay.
 
Game runs brilliantly on Pc, its nicer to play than fifa10 on either consol, and a lot better than the WC edition, passing and through balls are much improved, get a solid 60fps while playing on max with v-sync, but it drops to 30 when showing replays, which is noticable :(

tbh sorta glad they have dropped some of the features from the consol version, coz a lot of them appeared to be random game modes u'd hardly use, rather than focus on the main game.

but yeah, as i dont own a consol and havnt had a new footie game since pes08, (played lots of fifa10 on old housemates ps3) i think will defo be buying this fairly soon :)
 
I am a solely PC gamer and as such haven't played Fifa since my old megadrive days. I am quite impressed with the demo compared to previous incarnations of PES, although I havent played this years PES demo yet.

Think I will probably buy this if the multiplayer is any good.
 
Thats the obvious thing, they are targetting people who dont have consoles, and in that respect, the game delivers. Id much rather have fifa on pc than console, but i want the latest one, so its 360 for me.
 
The problem is that most of the people in to fifa including mates etc will be getting fifa 11 on ps3/360 how many are going to want to play fifa 10 on pc after having played fifa 10 on console for the last year ?

Are they even allowed to call this game fifa 11 on pc under the trade descriptions act ? it's fifa 10 right ?

NHL99 was awesome. I haven't really liked any of the ones since so haven't bought them. Bah. I'd really like a decent ice-hockey game.

I understand your position and why you wouldn't buy the pc version, but I don't have a console and have not played much of Fifa 10.

I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt with this version and probably buy it. If we don't get the same version that the 360 & ps3 will have next year, I won't buy it next year. Unless obviously they give us a superior version :}

It's not just Fifa 10, it's Fifa 10 + the world cup edition with some pc features all mixed toghether, according to the EA community manager.

Maybe naming it Fifa next-gen PC 11 would be more appropriate.

The Fifa 11 console version has extra features which are the personality +, pro passing and the career mode.

I don't know if it using superior player animations and A.I. etc

I know earlier in the thread I stated that Football games are made for consoles, but I think EA have just made me eat those word...

All I can say about FIFA 11 on PC is WOW:cool:

I have been playing the PS3 version of Fifa World Cup 2010 for the last few months.. and I have to say that it was the best football game I have ever played.

I downloaded the Fifa 11 demo the other day for PS3 and I didnt like it.. maybe I'll change my mind, but right now its a no no!!

However, seeing as I have just built a gaming PC.. I thought I would download the PC version of FIFA 11 and WOW.. it is absolutely brilliant.

Its WC2010 polished to perfection. The graphics are just absolutely stunning, and it plays beautifully. Its super tweaked, the skill moves are more precise the movements and dribbling attributes are much more clinical, everything is perfect..

So... at this point I'm really considering giving up on the PS3 version all together and just using my Dualshock..

However, I only play online... so its very important that there is a large community of players, thats where consoles win, because they are so cheap, everyone has them... so what is the FIFA PC community like... is it always easy to find games no matter what time of night you play??

Thats suppose to be humble pie btw... what a douche!!!

BTW.. this is not FIFA 10... its a tweaked version of FIFA WC2010 which had many added features that made it a far superior game than FIFA 10.

So do not feel you are taking a step back, in many ways it has had a lot more work on it than FIFA11(PS3 Xbox) as its now been tweaked 3 times... and you can tell!!!

If you buy this for your PC, you will not be disappointed... its superb!

Console has 11v11 mode too(best mode from fifa 10 was 10v10) and be a goalkeeper.

Its abd enough that fifa 11 onc osles plays nearly the same has fifa 10 for £40 but wasting money on fifa 11 on pc on last years gameplay is a waste for many who have already played on console

PES has always had a bigger online community then fifa on pc. The huge mod support from PES is why PES is soo big online
 
Played PES 2011 and Fifa 11 demos, and I can't make my mind up with them.

On the PC I usually only play PES 2010 with mods, because it's better than Fifa 10 on the pc. So naturally I thought "great PES 2011 is gonna be what I will want". However the demo just feels weird - it doesn't feel as fluid as it should. It looks nice, and I like some of the new features, it just feels in some instances it has gone backwards.

Fifa 11 on the other hand, I actually loved the arcadey, fluid gameplay. It's much easier to get into than the PES 2011 demo. The biggest disappointment for me, was that it doesn't really look that good next to PES 2011 on the PC in my opinion, and it's lacking a lot of things the console versions have.

Think I'll stick with my modded PES 2010 for the PC and buy Fifa 11 on my 360 or PS3.
 
just played the Fifa 11 demo on PC - im getting a perfect 60 FPS but the game just feels jittery - not impressed by the graphics at all in comparison to the Pro Evo 11 demo. I like the gameplay but it feels like a strobe is going off so im gonna have to stick to pro.

Turn off Vsync.. its is smooth as silk when its off!!!
