TJ07 HDD Cage

I've just done that to mine, I've taken the front off the ugly Silverstone drive bays and put the Lian-Li bay covers instead.

So in answer to your question, the holes don't match up to screw them in but they are a tight friction fit. You may be able to drill holes to match your TJ07 but because I was pushing them in around the Silverstone bay they fit pretty snug.

Heres how it looks:

So stealthed BD-ROM in the top bay, Silverstone fugly fronted bay thingie in the next three, with the front popped off, different fan and the lian-li filtered bezels, Zalman fan controller then just a normal Silverstone bezel to balance out the top one :)

I like it.

that's it. that's what i'm looking for.i really like that look. A LOT.
so you have the silverstone hdd cage behind the 3 lian li bezels? are the bezels connected to the drive cage in anyway or just in front of them?
thx

They are wedged in between the frame and the drive bay. Its pretty tight but they are not much less well attached than in a regular lian li case.

I just popped the front off the silversone bay, pushed it back as far as I could and aligned the bezels in there because I ran out of steam at that point. :)

I am sure with a bit more time and effort I could come up with a better solution perhaps a mix of mine with the other drive cages and attachments used earlier in the thread. But my case doesn't get moved around regularly and even if it did they are easy to move back into position.

If you come up with another way let me know :D

popped the front off the silverstone bay? are you talking about popping out the drive bay covers or that you took the front off the hdd cage?
???????????

Heh, no originally the case had two CFP51's in it.

The plastic & alu monstrosity pops off and you are left with just a fan and the HDD cage.

I didn't mod at all, I pushed the drive cage back as far as it would go and slipped the Lian-li bezels in, they are just held in place by friction.

I don't see why not, the one I have under the Zalman fan controller is just in the normal drive cage.

got everything together. lol... took me a while to figure out you didn't screw in the hdd cage just pushed it back as far as you could. it wasn't until i did the same that i could the lian li mesh covers to fit flat. got it though
thx
:]
i have to get my cable management together though. real soon

i do wish we didnt quote pictures!
i have a contact somewhere, of whom manufacture these cages for this case. ill dig it out and trust it to you.

ah i see. i'm using the scythe stabilzer 2 on the original drive cage and if i screw it in place the middle mesh bezel hits the stabilizer mounts. you think if i cut part of the bezel off it would still have a tight fit?

Oh your using the drive cage from the bottom of the case? Not sure mate, measure twice to be sure :) You could always use some double sided tape to secure if necessary, bit heath robinson but shouldn't show. I've yet to investigate drilling holes.

thanks for all this help
greatly appreciate it
i checked again and if i line up the holes to use screws the front of the cage causes the mesh bay covers to protrude out beyond flat. which i do not like. truth is its pretty snug byitself but i will check into the tape thing.sounds like a good idea.what i did was use your idea of the mesh grills and DEADMANS idea of the original case drive cages in front bay but he used the lian li 343 bays.wonder if the lian li 343 bay covers are much different from lian li mesh covers?????????????

looks like the lian li 343 doesn't have the lip on it that the lian li mesh bezels do. ah we'll see. the cage is preety snug in there on its own. may sell these mesh covers and get the 343. ????
will let you know:]

well they are sold.didn't like the fact that i couldn't screw in cage
looking at the lian li 343b front panel
