Why does anyone that age have the remotest thoughts of taking heir own life ?

I had to deal with a suidide of a 15 or 16 year old lad a few years back as first on scene and while I clearly can't and won't go into specifics, It is something I will never, ever forget.

One word wouldn't go away for weeks afterwards .... why ?

When I was 10 I probably didn't even understand the concept suicide, let alone contemplate taking my own life.

wow that's just terrible, must be devastating to see your child like that, terrible for the kid but equally terrible for the parents, I wonder where he got the idea from to do such a thing at such a young age?

You can only imagine how depressed this kid had been made by some of the kids at his school!

There are websites deducted to the subject, you have pro anorexia websites, and pro bulimia websites too.

I used to go the school. It was an okay school, teachers were pretty decent and there was never any bullying when I was there.

TBH, I suspect it's generally better now than it used to be...

I find it highly unlikely that any school doesn't have some kind bullying going on to some extent, just because we may not be aware of it doesn't mean that it's not happening, I imagine that a lot of bullying goes unreported.
