so its £7k off the forecourt...and 1l it doesnt even come with fog lights..., she only wants it for running the kids to school and going to work. what could I try and persuade her to buy rather than this horrid thing.

needs to be £30 road tax bracket. ideally less than 3k. im thinking fiesta but she wants smaller.

so ideas on a post card please.

One of those small Mitsubishi things, colts i think they are called.

if she like a particularly bad driver? how cna anyone find a fiesta too big?

if she is carrying children does she not want a solid car to transport them in, for you know safety etc?

maybe if a fiesta is too big for her its an early warning sign that she has limited driving skills and may need some kind of advanced driving course to get up to speed?

she isnt that woman i always end up behind on the motorway, clinging on for dear life whilst doing 30mph all the way down a slip road if she?

Why £30 tax bracket? What about a car in the £60 bracket? Surely when spending 3k+ on a car, £100 each way per year on road tax makes very little difference.

Panda sounds like a very good shout, if she was considering a Spark they she clearly isn't a badge snob and the Panda is well specced for the size, cheap and actually a very good car.

Is it really worth arguing over? Why not let her be happy and get what she wants?

none of the above, she's completed an advanced driving course. No its something to do with smaller engine = being greener. I hear what your saying re safety, but she is happy that most newish cars are pretty safe.

but i can see where your coming from.

Green when she is littering around doing hardly any miles? Not worth considering imo, not like she normally drives a hummer
