Why is JD ...

either jd and coke or rum and cokes where its at. never really seen the appeal for vodka myself.

the only vodka i do really enjoy is that bison grass vodka. because of the distinct taste it has

What's all this talk about Bourbons and Vodka, you should all get yourselves a nice single malt. Post haste.

i used to love that stuff. sort of tasted fruity with a mixer. until one night i passed out on the stuff and couldn't stand the taste/smell of it since. :(

I have a nice bottle of 100 PROOF (50% volume as opposed to 35%) sitting in my cupboard as well :D

Ok, it's a sour mash Tennessee Whiskey if we're being picky. Tastes pretty similar to a bourbon and it's an American whiskey which is why it'll usually be categorised with the bourbons but you're right.

Sorry I am a little bit of a JD fan so it upsets me when people say its a Bourbon. I know, I need to get out more. :o

Who on earth brought up Southern Comfort anyway when we were having a sensible discussion about different types of whisky, that's what I want to know! Please leave your fruit based drinks at the door ;)

Prefer vodka myself and when it's £2 for a double with mixer there really is no choice, plus i hate JD after a rather nasty experience with it on my 18th.

I'm the opposite.

I just don't like the taste of bourbon whiskies.

JD isn't a bourbon. :p

Just a bit of a recommendation if you like bourbon have try of woodford reserve one of the best you'll try for the money.

Myself personally like it with dry. However with fresh mint, crushed ice and sugar syrup/water call it what you will is equally as yummy:cool:
