Yes you are allowed and opinion but you don't have berate or belittle others that don't share your opinion.

Everyone knows monkey news is fake that's what makes it so good.

However Karl's discussion regarding the charity christmas presents is classic comedy and one of the funniest (scripted or not) pieces of radio I've ever listened to if he's putting it on then he's a comedic actor who far surpasses Gervais in that aspect.

Fake? No.

Embellished and maybe just a little bit over exaggerated? Yes. But that's just how Karl's mind works. If he reads it, his brains automatically sees it as fact.

If you look to the origins of mostly all the monkey news, I say that because a chimp did NOT steel a car and drive to Spain, there is almost always some back story. Oliver the humanzee for example, a regular on Monkey news, was a very well known and well documented Chimpanzee. Who is to say he didn't enjoy a little brandy before he went to bed and the odd flirt with his keepers wife? Both very reasonable animal instincts are they not? :D

Also remember, at least half of the Monkey tales over the years were supplied by listeners, so there is no real way we can prove/disprove them. I choose to believe. Always believe.

But it's OK to belittle me and make me look like a fool because I think Karl doesn't really believe Monkey News?

No they don't.
There are some who actually believe that Karl believes it.
They can't see that he is a really good at pretending to be thick.
I know from watching a few scenes from Idiot Abroad that they will suddenly get him.

(In fact I think trentlad is slowly seeing the light)
 
Thought that was the funniest thing I've seen all year - "the baby's choking" lol. Good to just have Karl and no Ricky speaking over him.
 
So rarely do I anticipate something so much and then it goes on to be even better than I hoped, but that was awesome
 
I quite enjoyed it, much to my surprise, I was actually set to dislike it but I ended up enjoying the majority. Some parts were a bit tedious, the Great Wall part dragged on a little but it was still mostly funny nonetheless. I didn't like the bits where Gervais called him up and laughed like some kind of crazed banshee at the merest mention of Karl's dislike for China, but those bits were so short that it was merely irritating.

Settle down mate. He's been very friendly in all his opinions and it's actually quite fun. It's not very often you get people happily defending their opinion because internetz people worse than you end up bullying them down and attacking with such unfounded fury.

It's harmless banter, leave it at that. No one is flaming or getting upset here!
