Lupo GTI

Ive seen yours at the Malton breakfast meet if im not mistaken? Did realise you lived so close to me.

Yes matey that will have been me. Are you going to the next one?

Massively overpriced, scene taxed, most definitely not 'far superior' to the Clio. Just no

Definatley yes to the first too - however they are plus points when it comes to selling.

Clio is a lot better for a minority of the time IMO - hammering round the countryside Id rather be in a RS Clio any day of the week, but the Lupo is much nicer inside, doesnt fall to pieces or melt if you leave it out in the sun and is the better car of the two for when you are doing normal car things.

I have been offered a straight swap with a 182 twice now, and declined twice - I know they are fantastic cars, but cant bring myself to get rid of the GTI

Plus it is very rare, and what I would call and 'interesting' car. It always goes down well at meets etc and I like that.

If anyone reads PPC my other Lupo will be in that soon!

One of my friends partners had one of these.

To drive they feel phenomenally fast but thats only because they weigh as much as a bag of sugar.

I wouldnt say that it would be my favourite place to be on a journey longer than a hundred miles and thats for sure.

Desirable product in retaining value shocker!

There is no such thing as scene tax, it's simply asset value. It work in your favour when you come to sell so it makes cheaper cars actually the more expensive option.

You've still got to get over the mental block of spending £6000 and ending up with an old Lupo, mind. You never receive a bill for depreciation so it's easier to cope with than shelling out a fortune for an over-rated old VW hatchback.

Lot of money for a girly shoebox, an arosa is cheaper and IMO looks slightly better...lower too much and the handling just falls apart...

Kids like 'em as they're relatively cheap insurance for the performance...
