Would this solve ATI's problematic drivers?

There are some wierd things going on with ATI drivers past 10.5 up to 10.9 though at the moment. My uncle's 5970 still quits to desktop all the time on BF2 BC2 and also the whole screen goes black on some parts of the maps. This is definitely a driver issue because as soon as I roll them back to 10.5 everything is fine!!

I am still on Catalyst 10.4. Every time a new version is released I have been reading through forum posts of people who have used it and every time there has been something there that has stopped me wanting to update them. Performance on everything is just how I want it and I don't have any issues on anything I use.

Nope, but do you have a general idea as to what your good friends do at work? We talked shop sometimes, he had some interesting behind the scenes stories.

Now I present to you, using the amazing powers of Google: http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2009/10/03/without-twimtbp-pc-gaming-would-be-dead/1

Carbon copy.

So what does NV add to the PC versions of games that the consoles don't have that is nothing more than features for there own cards..

Or ATI...

I don't worship anyone or anything.
Why don't you look at my post history & see if i ever used the love in my posts about hardware or drivers.

Just because some does not worship something does not mean that person must be worshipping something else, a person does not have to worship anything at all.

Or ATI...

LOL it is so funny how people do get stuck in their ways about the two main gfx card companies and you can see it in whichever forum you go in, especially in futuremark forums.

I personally think BOTH sides are great and have made huge advances to drive the technologies forward. I have had a history of having cards from both side of the fence, I just tend to go with whichever gives me the performance I require.

The Problem is that there are only 2 makes & too many like to pull out & hit you with the FanBoy Red Card from there back pocket as soon as your views & comments differers from them.

IF there was only 2 makes of motherboard then the same would happen there but because there is a far wider choice its hard for those inclined to use that FanBoy Red Card.

This, if there were 3 main graphics card manufacturers, people wouldn't know who to call you a fanboy of for disliking nVidia, but because there's only ATi, they automatically label you an ATi fanboy.

That's because its the easiest thing to do, it requires less thought.
Many people like to do the easiest thing & not the best thing when it comes to using there brains.
