6770 full specs

Yeah I think pricing will be high. If the above is true and you see the 6870 beating 480 by a good 20-30% I expect the 6770 to be about £200/£220 and the 6870 £350 or even higher depending on if Nvidia cut prices of 480 or not.

Amazing power consumption on the 6770 with 900 core clock, I hope they bring better tessellation performance with them as 5850/70 performance at £200+ does not rock my boat.

The 6770 is a direct replacement for the 5770... And is to fight the nvidia 460 cards.

the price will be much lower then £200/220... more like £160

The 6870 will be around the same price the 5870 was released at...

^^ I'll wait for official pricing...

And going by the 6770 specs it will be more competition for the 470/80 I highly doubt you're going to pick one up for £160, we'll see.

defiantly looking like a £199 for the 6770 and maybe £175 for the 6750.
that leaves £299 for the 6850 and £399 for the 6870.

of course this is just speculation with no fact or even rumors to back it up......;)

looking good 6770 vs 470 , hopefully prices will stay nice and low , 6850 & 6870 should be beasts , hopefully they will not limit overclock on 6850

edit : sell 5850 ^^

You never know it could be priced cheaply just to blow Nvidia out of the water.

Let's remember AMD did it before with the 4870 which forced Nvidia to drop the price of the gtx260 by £70 overnight just to compete again.

It would certainly be interesting if it came out at £160 and almost matched a 5870. I can't see many gtx460/470/480 selling without drastict price slashing by Nvidia.

I can't see 6770 being £160, I hope I'm wrong.

I think a hopeful realistic price would be 6750@£150 and 6770@£200.

Guess it depends on Nvidia, if they respond with price cuts then ATI will have to follow suit

Its a tricky one, there is not a single game that my 5850 hasn't played flawlessly but like anybody when something new is available I just want one. Decisions, decisions.

edit: would be willing to put an extra £50 in for new tech on top of the selling price of 5850 but for that I would want 6850. Probably unrealistic.

Would they price them that low though, given the top end 5-series still command a decent price?

Was the 5770 not around £30 cheaper than a 4870 at launch and only marginally slower?

i think they will go in at exactly the same prices that the 5 series was launched at, and utterly destroy all the Nvida cards.
