Hello all,

Finely scraped the funds together, was wondering if there is a better rig than this for £300?

Asus M4A79XTD EVO USB3
AMD AthlonII X3 445 (ty to gamesaregood for that :p)
4GB Corsair XMS3 PC3-10666 CAS9
1GB XFXHD5770

Main uses will be gaming and photoshop.

Will be overclocking (around 3.8GHz will be my goal :D)

Thanks in advance
Cookeh

Looks good but I would pay the extra few pounds for the AMD Athlon II X3 Tri Core 440 3.00GHz.

The extra core should really help in multi thread games which is the way they are all going anyway :)

They do a USB3 version of the board which comes with a PCI-E USB3 card.

+1 Internets.

And would like to go for the tri-core. Will have to have a look at funds.

Also, another £20 ontop of £20 for the cpu pushes price up to around £350 - and I dont have that much.

If I upgrade anything it will be CPU first, and seeing as I don't game more than a few hours a week I don't think I'll see a great deal of difference with a GTX460 as it seems to be on par with the HD5770 for the majoity of source games (the main type I play :p)
