Also I watched that game, pretty poor play from toss player there, he walks all of his army to take this helion leaving the door open knowing that there is terran army waiting to get in, could have microed away his probes and sent 1 stalker to deal with helion or trapped the hilion with probes and then he tries to focus fire the bunker down with scv's repairing it.

I believe rauders without cc would go down to zealots too fast

Zealot > Rauder

Zealot < cc rauder if you have space to micro kite

chargelot > cc rauder

hes the only commentator that hasnt become stale for me, husky and hd are just same old same old, and get far to excited about pointless bits in a game (oh nos he built a tank **** me lets have a party and scream about it) ;)
 
in a tvt as we speak he has floated his command centre and left it in the corner. i have a starport but no supply depot to build air unit. both our bases have been destroyed apart from this. have marines waiting to take him down when he lands but has appears to have left his pc. what can i do?

I agree, you probably would need to build some other units to go with your marauder.

Point was, cc is the only way not to get obliterated by zealot with stalkers in an early game.

Overall the "pro's" think TvP is balanced with terran having a tiny early game edge and protoss having tiny late game edge. No any big unfairness that some of you might think of.

Tbh if you take away concussive shells then marauders would just get kited by stalkers surely?

Maybe stimpack should have a cool down yeah.

They wouldn't get kited if they have stim. Besides, marines are out ranged by stalkers and marines are still pretty good against them. A marauder kills a stalker in a 1v1 fight so it wouldn't be unfair if the marauder didn't have conc shells. Conc shells is the worst spell in SC2 imo, they ruin the early game so much.
 
Decided I want to learn another race besides terran so if anyone wants a few easy games vs a n00b zerg player let me know.

Not being sarcastic, I mean genuinely. Marauders shouldn't hard-counter zealots. In fact zealots should hard-counter marauders. Once marauders have conc shell, this is not the case.

They are anti-armoured support. If they removed CC, maybe speed up how quickly you can get stim. But I don't even think that's necessary.

Vs protoss, hellions are brilliant against zealots. A mix of helions, marauders and marines would give terran a very viable stand up force to fight protoss in the early and midgame.

But one unit shouldn't be able to do practically everything. Protoss need a careful mix of gateway units to fight just marauders. I think getting rid of cc would force terran to have a more complex unit mix if they want to be aggressive early on.

Cost for cost, even if you took conc shell away terran can stand up and fight protoss gateway units. Conc shell actually makes rax units too powerful early on, rather than balancing things out.
