*** Official FIFA 11 Thread ***

Just ordered a copy for my bro on Amazon (allowed to say this?). Any chance this will arrive tomorrow. Being a Prime member. I ordered from ShopTo but it didn't arrive today.

Judging by the rules it seems so long as the core business isnt computer hardware then its ok.

Surprised shopto didnt deliver, usually if I order before whatever time it is they stipulate then it does arrive the next day, cant fault them usually. I ordered from the hut so should expect it just in time for xmas apparently :P

It might come tomorrow but I'd say unless they dispatch it today then it will be with him by Friday. I've had mine ordered with them for ages and they just dispatched it an hour or so ago, the status had been "Dispatching Soon" for about a week before that.

Or console hardware apparently, so no talk about the purple shop, or the other high street games shop, but places like HMV, Amazon, Blockbuster, Zavvi should all be okay as selling consoles isn't their core business.

Killswitch I think this bit explains does it not?

* They do not offer console hardware or computer components as part of their 'core' business (this includes some high street games retailers).
* You do not link
* Companies such as (but not limited to) Tesco, Blockbuster ,CEX , ShopTo and Argos are all fine to mention as long as you are not linking to computer components, console hardware or other OcUK 'core' business (if there's a range of products on the OcUK website, its safe to assume this is 'core' business). Amazon and Play are also allowed within this as we judged their core business does not include console hardware or computer components.

How's this for service from ShopTo where I ordered Fifa 11 today.

Ordered: 14:16PM
Order Receipt: 14:31PM
Dispatch Notice: 14:35PM

Hoping it arrives tomorrow.

:D

Yeah I read the full post, I'm just not sure where the recent spate of rule breaks has been. I check the forums daily (sad) and haven't seen anyone mention anything apart from the usual, Play, Shopto, Amazon etc. It's not a big issue, I just think that competitor naming has always been a grey area on here. :)

Question to Andy and the other tarts that have got it already, does it feel a lot different to FIFA 10 like the demo did? How does it compare to the demo?

Some of the people on the official FIFA forum are really moaning about it, but I suspect they are just bad and wrong :p

I don't think I'm the best person to answer tbh as I didn't play the demo enough to see a difference. I do however love the feel of 11 and going on from 10 it feels great, the tempo seems just right. I'll let someone who has played the demo answer better though

i hope they improved manager mode this time. i hated how in fifa 10 once you've upgraded your staff and bought/sold a few players, i never had enough to upgrade stadium to 10/10, i think i usually manage 8/10 before i have no money left. something like 80mil to fully upgrade stadium

i thought when you win the league/cups you get millions of pounds but in the game you get the odd half a mil, sponsors give you hardly any income and also the board never increases your transfer budget/player wages until you sell.

ohh nice goal - gonna luv that you can save online goals :D (i guess only in 1v1s?)

That was online, you get a highlight reel at the end of the game after playing someone, so you can choose to view goals, saves and it plays them back, you then can upload them. As mentioned though if someone quits the ability to view the goal is gone :(

Just sold Halo Reach for £30. Popped into my local Tesco's to ask how much they'd be selling it for, but the woman said she didn't know :(

Hopefully there will be some adverts in the newspaper tomorrow. :)

Well, Asda is nearly confirmed at £24.99 or £5 less than any competitors.

We'll see tomorrow!
