[TW]Fox's 100,000 Marmite posts

I find Fox's information great. The only thing I don't like is his always right attitude and they way he tries to belittle people. Also how he de-rails a lot of threads.

I also really like his 5, and has acctually got me to like BMWs. :(

But its the internets and I don't really care.
 
I'm also still wondering whether the obsession for detail and info on everything Bavarian might lead to the worlds first crazed mass killer of forum members?

:) Let no-one purchase a well priced M5 in Estoril Blue with Beige leather and 16:9 satnav on this forum. Could be the catalyst... (Yes I know he's off M5, and the reasons for it)
 
He's harsh at times but mostly right 90 percent of the time

He's also responsible for one of the best dry witted jokes I've seen cant remember what it was but it was a mega lol

I actually respect some of [VW]Fox's posts. I aligned with his way of thinking of being against spending money to save money. The difference between 30 MPG and 40 MPG of the cost of a new car over a year etc.. So kudos to him.

A wealth of knowledge that is clouded by a tirade of humorous but dry communist banter.

Having actually met him in the flesh, he's nothing like I expected him to look and didn't act like he does on the forums. Bottom line, he didn't **** of my Saab to my face, so when he does it on the forums - meh..

Well done for you 100k posts.
 
As harsh as he is sometimes (with good reason mostly :p), and his classic phrases that he seems to use too often, his dry sense of humour is awesome and I'll always respect his opinion about anything motors*


*Except if it's negative about my car, then I'll get on the defensive and argue forever :(
 
I am grateful for Fox's unrelenting willingness to indulge in arguments.

Beyond that, I could happily take him or leave him, due to his constant attempts to try and improve his standing in his own mind by belittling others...on an internet forum!

Every time he says something like 'it really is that simple' or 'I really can't see what you're struggling with here', it reveals that he is probably just a small man with big insecurities.

A psychiatrist would have a field day with him I think. I suppose one conclusion would be that he has very low self esteem, poor fellow.

I was hoping nobody would notice, it's not as if 100,000 posts on an internet forum is anything other than a little bit sad, even if they were amassed over 8 years :p

The most interesting thing about this thread is the huge difference in the responses from MikeHiow and Robbie G. One of them made a hugely predictable reply, the other was quite suprising and highlights quite a difference in the two ;)

ive read some of what he says and i dont agree with everything but he quite often has a good opinion and its okay to be bluntly honest. im the same, say it as you see it :) that can get to some people tho!
 
I have certainly had my fall outs with Fox over the years, that said, I try to not take it personally.

Whilst I have never met him in person, enough have and they all find him a decent upstanding chap.

Sure, he posts to get a reaction, but not just any old crap. He is informed, clearly educated and sticks to his guns.

He has my admiration & respect, and one day I would love to meet him personally.

If he is prepared to meet me is entirely another matter!

And to think I worry that I spend too much time posting here with a mere 12k ish posts! :o

I will make a point of being nice to (non knuckledragging) e39 drivers this afternoon in his honour. :)
 
I think I met him once but was to larruped to recall it in detail.

Fox may be the marmite but you are the lamb tikka dupiaza with onion pilau and ice cold Kingfisher lager. Loved by all. :p

its an average of 35 posts per day over 8years haha thats a lot!
