yea i found that berbatov close control in real life doesnt translate well into pro evo or fifa because of his lack of pace. on these games good control and lots of pace seems to be better than great control and not so much pace.

First fifa game in ages ive been impressed at how different the play is. Knew it was gonna be good when i had a few games on the world cup game. Well worth getting!
 
The more I play the more I realise how little they've changed on the Virtual Pro stuff, it's crap. It's still 11,000x easier to train up a striker or attacking player and more or less impossible to make a good defender without swapping him into midfield or attacking positions to achieve gains.

And they wonder why online clubs consist of 11 forwards and 1 midfielder.
 
Any of you played goal keeper mode yet? What do you think of it?

I'm playing through manager mode first. It's the best part of the game IMO.
 
Goalkeeper mode is quite good fun. Messing around in the arena last night and made some awesome saves. Takes me back to when I used to play in goal as a boy.
 
Some bloke in Asda was at the front and his mates were further back and he went buying some food and was waiting for them to get served, when we got to the front the security guard at the the till said he had left his copy on shelve, n00b
 
Well I was queueing in Asda from half 10. Already 30 people ahead of me.

If I had a swear jar for the amount of people who looked around the corner right next to me i'd have probably made about £200!

Must have been a good 600 people turn up! I was #13 for the Xbox version :cool:

Also they had to hand out raffle tickets to see how many people could get a copy so people weren't left waiting... also the first 40 people had chairs to sit on.. the funny thing is.. someone tried to push it after the 10th person... stupid chav didn't have a chair or a ticket! :p

Anyway, the game is a bit weird.. seems totally different from 10 though I have started off with a crap team on hard and i'm finding it hard to score... still winning 1-0/2-0 etc though.

What's the fastest way to level your pro cos on 10 it took me ages and i couldn't get above 79. I've started early with my pro this year to try and make him into a superstar!

I'm not sure what level I would place myself as. :o. I certainly am not amazing, but I used to do alright at online games in Fifa 10.

Has anyone played that had played loads of wc 2010 what are overall impressions ? about the same or is passing really hard and like manual even when it's on auto ? seen a few playing this online on a stream and passing didn't look too difficult to me no harder than wc2010.
Is it just fifa 10 people not having played wc2010 not used to it because they cant ping pong pass anymore ?

Also I am hearing some complaints that the ps3 version is too fast ? like the pc version is ?

I don't suppose I'd get a copy now unless I pay full whack so methinks leave it for now until another special deal is on or even get offline.
Probably take my wc2010 in to asda though for £7 exchange.
If you still want a copy my advice is get there early tomorrow morning like first thing literally physically before the store opens.

LOl at all the queues what has the world come to the things people will do to save a fiver, same people probably wasted the money they saved at mcdonalds on the way home.
