Bridge Jumper in Birmingham

Maybe so, but it wouldn't stop it being a public forum.
From my view, it's clear to see that I have not had a member of the family/someone close end their life. However, I do have a few who have had their lives cut short or who're being killed by horrible illness. Therefore, at this moment in time, I have no time for those who just plain "don't want to live".

Either get on with it and end everything, or get to a doctor/specialist and try to fix the problem. [/incredibly simplistic, narrow minded viewpoint]

how selfish.

It's a selfish world. Some people need to get to work so they can pay bills, or they may have an emergency and being stuck in traffic isn't helping.
It's equally as selfish from the publicity whore, they could have picked a quieter bridge and left everyone else to get about their day-to-day lives. ;)

Edit: How thin was the railing he was standing on, looks like it would need a decent balance from the blurred picture?

I wonder why they don't get one of those massive inflatey things and put it underneath him.

They should have got that 'Sammy the Snake' bouncy castle from Phoenix Nights to give him maximum embarrassment when he lands on a giant penis. ;)

This happened whe I was in York visiting my girlfriend a few months, the city center was pretty much closed because of it, in the end he accidentally fell of and died, seems the lord was tired of him!

I've walked past the spot he stood on manytimes, that rail is'nt much to stand on at all! But the drop is quite big so if he did fall he would have been seriously injured or dead depending on how he landed

sick ********, some guys life is at stake and all you do is complain about the traffic.

how selfish.

He put his own life at stake. As a threat to others, to get them to beg him to stop. That's the definition of selfish.

If people put themselves into that situation, they should be removed from it. As kindly as possible, but removed nonetheless and in short order.

It is a rough subject, but if someone is going to take their own life then they will. The thing is more often than not most that are serious about taking their own life do so without involving anyone else.

Take recently the incident where a male and female gassed themselves in a car in Essex just the other week. They wrote messages on the car window warning the public and emergency services of the dangerous gas in the car.

The total opposite of this situation.. a 24 hour circus.
