*** Official FIFA 11 Thread ***

Just got back from town and came across the best deal for the game, HMV do it for a fiver if you trade in mafia 2, dead rising 2 or f1 2010!!!

Admittedly this deal only felt awesome as I was only offered 25ish for mafia 2 in game next door and I payed 32 for it on amazon pre order :D (feels a little bit like I made money as hmv will only resell mafia for 30 in a few weeks)

Cant wait to start playing it after nandos now...

Yeah that's what I meant, it's really hard to mark people. Especially players like Alex from Chelsea - no matter how tight you are to him, he will 99% of the time out power you and make it to the corner first.

It's plays really differently to FIFA10 in my opinion. It's taking quite a lot of getting used to compared to the switch from 09 to 10. Having said that I'm enjoying trying to learn and get used to it.

I supposed they won't accept the PC version as trade-in? :p
 
Just braved torrential rain conditions to get this...so its sitting beside me in the shiny wrapper whilst i warm up.

So is it as slow as the demo? Do you love it or hate it?

On the bright side you can buy back fifa 10 for less than £10 and sell Fifa 11 on for a profit if you hate it so much :)

No, intermediate which is usually to easy but at least balance. No so in Fifa 11...

I still have the World Cup 2010 which imo is the best version just a shame there are no clubs :( I will trade Fifa 11 in for PES and maybe pick up Fifa 10 as a bonus.

Two footy games but at least both are good..

Exactly. It plays differently to FIFA 10 which is why people are moaning about it. In order to improve it they have adjusted quite a lot of the game engine to make it a bit harder and have a less arcade feel to it.

It's harder to pick up and play than previous FIFA games but once you've got the hang of it, it's excellent.
 
I hate this game I really do.. I have tried all day to come around but its boring.. I haven't seen any decent goals scored.

The shooting is sporadic, the movement of players is late and lazy and the overall feel of the game is just not right.

I suppose it is a case of taste, but I should have realised when I played the demo that I was not going to like it..

Going to buy FIFA 11 on the PC which is FIFA 10 & WC2010 combined.. it feels so much more balanced.

Thankfully I never registered it to me, just done the 7 day trial on my accounts...anyhow... Im out of this thread now as I will have nothing to add.. hopefully Fifa 12 on the PS3 is a better game.

Might trade in Dead Rising 2 for this.

I played the demo and pes11 and pes is still the better game to me. Liked fifa but pes11 is more of a challenge.

Also, shooting in PES seems more realistic. In fifa it looks like the ball is floating in the air but when you strike the ball in pes, it really looks like you hit the ball with some force.
