It would be very interesting to know how many of you would put your names down for some GTR:Evo racing, noting too competitive just some friendly gaming.

Ladies and Gents and all alike,
Does everyone have the Oulton Park track installed? i think i would be a good idea to host a mini touring car session, say forced pits, and 3 laps on each track, maybe tonight, Saturday and Sunday?

Who is avail and when.

Lucky git! Let us know how you get on with it.

Grab a pair of LED Glasses (£4) and remove the plastic lenses, a Microsoft vx1000 webcam (£15), 1xSFH485P IR LED (£0.50) to replace one of the led's in the glasses, an old cut up floppy disc for covering the webcam lens with & download the latest version of FreeTrack.

Homemade TrackIR-style 2d headtracking for less than £20 & 20mins of your time.

Or try FaceTrackNOIR :

That sounds interesting, have you tried it?

FaceTrackNOIR worked reasonably well when I tried it about a month ago. Helps if you dont have a bright wall / light source behind you.

FreeTrack+webcam+led glasses works fine. You only get rotational tracking, but that's enough for most games like Birds Of Prey, GTR, rFactor, etc...

The FreeTrack forum has a guide for making different tracking rigs using IR leds+d.i.y, so it's possible to get TrackIR v4/v5 style 3d motion on the cheap.

I might not make it tonight but I'm up for this at some point, as long as it's full sim rules/difficulty (sans clutch). I've only got GTR Evo atm, but I'm probably gonna go for that Race On deal.

Would probably make it anything goes to please everyone, especially the new starters.
I guess, I always jump in at the deep end. It might not be easy, but that's why you practice.

I think I'll boot it up at around 8:30ish too if anyone else is on.
