Most pointless facts EVER!

Joe Louis was world heavyweight champion for 12 years between 1937 - 1949 and defended his title over 25 times, a record likely not to be broken.

In a similar vein Uwe Hohn's javelin World record of 104.8m is highly unlikely to ever be broken as they redesigned the javelin due to that throw almost leaving the field. The tip is now more weighted so it should also be more likely to stick into the ground.

Edwin Moses (the American 400m hurdles runner) managed one of the longest athletics winning streaks of all time - 122 races and almost 10 years. His technique was for 13 or even 12 strides between the hurdles when his competitors would usually be on a 14 stride pattern.

Trust the french for that one.

No "please help me" or "i need help", no it's "you come here here and help me now dammit!":p

I'm tempted to forgive them that, courtesy is always nice but if you're in an emergency situation I feel that politeness can probably be shown after the event. :p

1 gram of antimatter would cost $100 quadrillion using current technology.

Scientists claim antimatter is the costliest material to make.[18] In 2006, Gerald Smith estimated $250 million could produce 10 milligrams of positrons[19] (equivalent to $25 billion per gram); and in 1999 NASA gave a figure of $62.5 trillion per gram of antihydrogen.[18] This is because production is difficult (only a few antiprotons are produced in reactions in particle accelerators), and because there is higher demand for the other uses of particle accelerators. According to CERN, it has cost a few hundred million Swiss Francs to produce about 1 billionth of a gram (the amount used so far for particle/antiparticle collisions).[20]

Thats wrong because a gram of gold costs X

10^1million Grams of gold does not cost X*10^1million

A pointless fact would be how much it has cost to produce how much they have already made. The reason it would be pointless is because its for research not as a fuel source. And mainly because you cant simply multiply like that.

In 1903 the Wright brothers flew for 59 seconds.
38 years later the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
28 years after that, we landed on the moon.
We went from gliding a few feet off the ground for less than a minute to launching rockets out of orbit, traveling for hundreds of thousands of miles, landing on the moon, and then returning, all within a single lifetime
