Which are the best track car experience days? My friend is looking to treat a friend as it's his birthday soon, so are wondering.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Would like it to be in the London area.

The best around

At around £800 for the day it ain't cheap! But they now offer half days also.

That's a lot of money, anything cheaper? Can't really afford that much, anything decent around the £150 mark? We've seen the Porsche Thrill that Virgin do for £99, but was wondering if there is something better and a selection of cars which can be taken around a track.

The cheap ones are cheap for a reason. They'll give you very limited track time and you'll be very limited in how you use the cars.

I've done car & bike and even a single seater car.. I have to say the car track days were boring in comparision. STILL LOTS OF FUN don't get me wrong, but bike track days, to me are better than XXX

Palmer motorsport is the daddy, I did a custom half day thing and they properly encourage you to drive to and past your limits. Spinning off at 60-70mph onto the grass in a jp1 was a bit scary at first.

Assuming VFM are important, Kart racing.
IMO most normal road cars are just not that much fun on track. eg. I attended a VXR day last year. Yes it was good as they go, but I was still conscious of being in a barge most of the time.
The single seater experiences are more raw, but are now faced with far more safety and noise regulations than there used to me, limiting the ability to have a real play.

Kart racing in a decent pro-kart is IMO easily the cheapest way to enjoy some serious on the limit stuff.
