Palmer Motorsport Day

yes ive been a few years ago 2007.

i did the full day sponsored by acer which was nice of them:)

fave cars were the Jag V8 super, the caterhams (wet course and dry) and the mini single seaters they had when i went.

awesome day out. i stayed over in a local hotel/b+b place and then did it.

oh yea i enjoyed the porsche carreras and was one of the few people to properly spin it out on one of the corners:)

My brother-in-law went on one. It seemed to rouse a lot of interest when I posted the PDF brochure in the Red Letter day thread.

He thoroughly enjoyed it and I am still massively jealous. He said the 911s were the lamest bit, but he does drive one that was probably a better spec than theirs. The single seater stuff he said was mind blowing.

He also really liked the Clios for what they were.. but I remain sceptical..

Been twice, The M3's are new so I haven't driven those.

The formula jag and JP1 (pushed by instructor) will show you what a car can really do!

Most fun are the Caterhams! God how I love driving those. (I was quickest of the day in these my 2nd time and won trophy)

Least fun I had was in the off roading and the Jag XKR's, The XKR's have been replaced with the M3's and I'm told these are much better! (They are likely to have the traction control turned on as the track ain't as open as others! You will be hitting 100+ on the straight) The clio's are pretty dam quick and the 911 has some unreal turn in. You will also do karting (small track) The food is spot on and both times I went the team leaders were pretty hot (they use female team leaders)

Pretty amazing day tbh, The instructors really do push you to your limits unlike a lot of other driving days!, Book yourself 2 nights in a local hotel so you can have a good nights sleep before you do the day, Then you can go out into Bedford for a curry and a few drinks after with loads to talk about from the day. Nice easy drive home the next day :)

Its great definately pay extra for the drivers to take you round in the faster JP1. Absolutely terrifying at first, I did it before driving the cars myself and when breaking and going round corners it almost felt like you were flying.

I didnt rate the M3. The JP1 and single seater were brilliant though.

wanted to go on one of these for my stag do.

couldnt afford it :(

Could have if you didn't fly in Economy+ :p

Honestly would love to do this as it's just up the road from me, plus I used to watch cars fly round there on the odd lunchtime whilst I had a temp driving job after Uni on the airfield next to the track.

One day!

ive been :D

Clio was awesome for a FWD caterhams also very good single seater did all my upper body muscles in. Shoulders back and neck all owned but loved every second of it. Met Martin brundle when i was there also he was filming there safety video :P.

Even won a trophy in the clio and beat all the 911 times round the same circuit.

you will have an amazing day !

I've been twice - a full day and a short session.

Full day was a few years back - the Nissan 350Zs were drift monsters.

The short session was run by a distributor we deal with and when I realised it was on my birthday (this year), would have been rude not to go :D Only drove the Jag JP1s and 911s this time.

The JP1s are mind blowing. The instructors will really push you (if you want to be pushed) and the grip they generate is simply stuning.

The Formula Palmer singleseaters were superb too but I quite liked having the instructor on-board for the coaching.
