HTC Desire HD (Ace)

Phoned and been in store they say keep phoning

O2 said today they are launching the phone in the next couple of days but won't give a definate date

any ideas if a case is included?, i checked out a UK desire (not HD) unboxing video and it didn't have one so i guess the HD will be the same.

I've got a genuine HTC flip case on my Touch HD, it's nice with a slot for my debit card and fits really well, I'll be looking for another one once I have my grubby mits on a Desire HD

Can't understand that, just say citylink next day delivery WHEN they are in stock. Stock expected xx/xx/xx

Totally agree - must be covering their backs but its puttin me off ordering. Just going to wait a couple more weeks for reviews to roll in.

CPW won't tell me when they are getting it in, sods

I phoned CPW today (on 0870 087 0870) and when i asked i was transfered to Sales, the guy said its released on the 10th October but they wont get it in stock until around a week later.

Im hoping they will get it in soon, O2 don't seem to be giving any indication of when they will get it in, so is CPW the only place i can get on on an upgrade contract on O2 ?? (my 18 month contract ended yesterday)

hd2 came with a little slip on case so would expect this to be the same..better than nowt in the short term

Signal is the only reason I'm leaving Orange. Customer service and contract deals have been excellent for the 4 years I've been with them.

Hmm you do realize that Orange customers now use the t-mobile or orange network depending on which has the best signal right? So you're not going to gain anything by switching to t-mobile in terms of call reception

i did know that it was coming but mpd didn't have any orange deals going and I'd rather just have signal in the first place rather than relying on it switching.

Plus T-Mobiles data allowance is much better.

Many thanks for your order for the exciting new Desire HD!

Today, we can confirm you will still be one of the first customers to receive this amazing new phone.

We are expecting to be able to fulfil your order in the next 15 working days which means your Desire HD should be with you by the end of October.

hurrah.

I wonder what Voda will offer with theirs? I have had movies, extra memory even speakers.

probably bugger all

they are hopeless at the moment....their upgrades team cannot even agree or get the system to match up to new accounts

if you sign up for a new account and pre-oder the desire hd....35ppm free phone and 900 minutes, unlimited texts etc and 750mb data

when I did my upgrade...same as above except mine came back as 500mb data allowance, so I queried it and vodfone said its definitely 500, we dont offer 750mb....but its on your damn website you buffoons!

I have pre-ordered but if they cannot clarify why a new account gets a bigger data allowance than an upgrade to an exisitng accoutn I will cancel my pre-order and pay off the last month of my existing contract then just get a new contract. its all a bit of a shamble of a launch to be honest form such a large company..they still have not got it on their coming soon page!

any good deals for this on £20 per month contract?

best I have found is with orange
£179 for the phone, £20 per month for 2 years
but it only has 500mb data allowance
