sub £10k car

Useful. And here was me thinking that rational debate was kind of the point of the forum.

I have an irrational hate of idiots that I can't be bothered to explain. Welcome to my ignore list.

Actually I cant be arsed to explain because of your cocky arrogant attitude toward what I said, which was simply

"Thats true, its great to have an opinion, I hate Vauxhalls for instance and diesels"

Which you picked up on looking for an argument which you didnt get so now you're taking your ball in

I feel for people who have a superiority complex because they have a mediocre BMW with inter steller mileage just because of the BMW badge

Do you feel for me? my BMW is very mediocre due to the dreaded tin worm - which I cba to get sorted - but I do indeed drive it because its a BMW, not sure if 134k is interstellar (given its 14 years old, its actually low mileage!) I hardly feel superior when I'm in it mind you....

My superiority complex comes when I'm in my Scania, now thats looking down on fellow motorists..... ;):p:D

I dont think you understand my dig at Fox, dont take it personal it was directed at him and nobody else

This is the only forum I know where you can have a go at someone and an army of defenders will do everything they can to make that person regret it.

Well I can assure you posting other peoples pictures off the internet and picking up on minor points in comments wont work I have absolutely no problem with replying to people who give me grief, or any of the other Fox followers for that matter. I'm not here to make friends with anyone either, i'm here to read about and discuss cars which I attempted to do in this thread only to be drawn into pointless drivel for daring to respond to Fox by his army of lovers

It's kinda hard to argue the toss with someone who thinks Toyota interiors are great.

Now where did I say that Janesy? The fact is I didnt, did I? Your just looking to cause a problem.

Toyota interiors are mediocre but they are a hell of a lot better than they are being made out to be by one or two snobs and even still, its a matter of personal opinion so arguing about it is ridiculous

Just depends how old you want to go. If you want to spend 3k.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2116856.htm

But its 3 years older. All comes down to what the OP wants.

If the guy has £10k to spend, I agree he doesn't need to blow all of it when a resonable car can be had for less, and a Mk3 Mondeo probably fits the bill quite well, but showing him a pre-facelift one isn't going to convince him is it! :p

I posted a facelift one further up and was told it was overpriced. Cant win can i ;)

The facelift one looks good. No mention of mileage though, but other than that, and being a diesel it looks ideal for the OP. Can't see anyone disagreeing with it? I am only scanning though...

this guy was talking to me :)

it ain't that cheap, it's just a good price.
on the other hand, the mondeo posted earlier is overpriced, sorry but you can get a 55 reg mondeo for half of that. Sure, it won't be a GHIA X or in a fantastic condition, but when you can look at a few decent ones under 3k, 5k is a stupid price to pay, considering all the ex-fleet depreciation.

I ignored his point suggesting he get a 55 plate LX and instead suggested if he didnt want to spend 5k he could just get one thats a bit older and still keep the toys.

Wouldnt wish a mondeo LX on anbody :(

You can still get a 55 plate decent TDCI GHIA for about £3k provided you shop around, sure it ain't got the X as well, but is that satnav and extra letter worth another nearly 70% of the car's value?

That was my point. In the end you are paying nearly twice as much yet you do not even come close to getting twice as much car for the money. Of course it's not worth buying a tatty one, I didn't say "look you can get a mk3 mondeo for 1.5k" (which you can) I just said that spending nearly twice as much on the same car with hardly any extra benefits is not my cup of tea, that's all.
At the end of the day everyone is free to buy any car they want, I was just making a valid (imo) remark. If that car was 3.5-4k, then I wouldn't have anything to object, as it does bring a few extras compared to an average mondeo, but another 1k is not justified.

Quite. He seems to think my opinions are as a result of what I drive - perhaps what I drive is as a result of my opinions?

That seems a common opinion around here, not just about you either.

This will confuse him though, I too think jap interiors are pretty woeful. And I drive.....
