It's really, really, really, really, really annoying to hear them all saying it was God that was keeping them alive. Bloody hell.. if there was a God, why did he trap you in there in the first place?? why not thank the rescuers who fed and watered you for the past 2 months up until rescue.

That's a pretty weird God, trapping those miners and terrifying them like that. Actually that sounds like a cool God.
it doesn't work like that, god didn't trap them, old nick did. God kept them alive and the rescuers rescued them in Gods name.
It sounds bonkers but that's how it went down (for them). Everyone is happy, god didnt have to prove anything because his faithful did it in his glory. Its a win win situation for the Church and the believers, the fact that the drill went off in an unplanned direction and happened to actually hit the shaft they were in when they were aiming at a different location is seen as a miracle and gods intervention.

Think they thought there was something wrong with the ascent and that it had stopped, it hadn't though which tbh probably gutted the Sky chaps who by know must me gnawing their own arms off in the hope that it either speedily finishes so they can all go home or something happens and they have some new words to say.
They just asked a psychologist what the long term damage to their mental health would be, and for a second there I thought they meant the miners and not Sky viewers.
