Hiya all.

Right its time for me to get a new PSU. My old one is about to give up the ghost and is getting a bit noisey when im pushing my rig to its limits.

I need it to be able to power the following with room to spare

Q9650 oc'd to 4.0ghz
2 x GTX 280's at 700 core
10 x case fans
1 x blu ray drive
1 x ssd
2 x v/raptors
1 x 1tb drive
2 x laing 18x pumps
1 x 790i mobo

Wa thinking of the Corsair HX1000 watt model, any recommendations out there?

Cheers

but OCUK dont sell Enermax for some weird reason.

I think it's to do with there warranty, they closed the UK warranty center and setup with a Competitor regards warranty - along those lines if you get my drift.

Cheers fellas. That will save me a few quid then. Ta

Stulid / setter you got any reccomendations?
Well, i can definitely reccomend corsair as thats what im using at the minute, and the thermaltake toughpower units are also good, rebadged corsair units.

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Thermaltake-Toughpower-XT-775-W-Power-Supply-Review/926

"Like the original Toughpower series, Toughpower XT is manufactured by CWT. Since some power supplies from Corsair like HX750W and HX850W are also manufactured by CWT and also use a DC-DC design, the first thing we did was to compare these power supplies to see if they were based on the same project. The answer is negative: this product from Thermaltake is different from these products from Corsair."

Yep, should have said cwt, my toughpower was a non modular 750w pre xt model stulid, are some of the corsair tx units not made by cwt also? Used to run the toughpower prior to switching to my current modular hx 850.
