THERE IS A NEW ENEMY, THERE IS A NEW WAR, THERE IS A NEW WARRIOR, HE IS TIER 1

Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.

Over 2 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines wear the uniform. Of those, approximately 50 thousand fall under the direct control of the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane of existence above and beyond even the most highly trained Special Operations Forces. Their exact numbers, while classified, hover in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence. The new Medal of Honor is inspired by and has been developed with Tier 1 Operators from this elite community. Players will step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan.

There is a new enemy. There is a new war. There is a new warrior. He is Tier 1.

I have to ask, is the reason OCUK is now stocking games consoles and console accessories due to a small downturn in PC sales?

A lot of grumbling at the moment about lack of AAA titles for PC that really push hardware to the limits, is this affecting PC hardware sales?

I will go out on a limb and say that my current Desktop could be the last gaming rig I ever buy. For reasons I won’t go into, but it does seem OCUK are trying to position themselves into branching out into the, and lets face it lucrative console market. Who can really blame them..

Bound to have fan some flames here, not intentional just inquisitive..

No not at all OcUK have been promoting consoles for a while now but Iam now overseeing the area and trying to grow and develop this section.

The sceptic in me says it's to eliminate competitor talk.

But if you can be competitive on price with future titles then it might not be all bad.

I look forward to you doing some deals on Black Ops. ;)

I don't think they're trying to move into the console market at all - they're not even remotely competitive. This same bundle can be had for £50 less at other stores - one place even offers it with a Move controller for 30 quid less. Strange way to move into a market if they planned to.

However, I doubt it's just to stop competitor talk - at the end of the day it is a business and not a petty game just to make a point. However, I cannot see what on earth their business model is other than to trick the unaware - and frankly that says something about the business as a whole.

No, consoles are a area we have never really focused on much in the past. We are putting more focus as we are a business and we want to make profit in as many areas as possible within our market such as consoles.

System sales are actually higher than ever, especially with our Titan series. Intel i3 has proven to be the gaming CPU of choice especially with the GTX 460 making gaming PCs less expensive and more profitable.

The sceptic in me says it's to eliminate competitor talk

yes because we would spend all that money on stock just to stop forumers talking about other competition. We don't have to buy things we just moderate :)

You could not be more wrong. I don't know what business "model" you are talking about but it certainly ain't anything like ours. Oh by the way do you want an ATI 5570? It plays Crisis at 5000fps, don't worry i'm not tricking you

Back on track! This is a sweet deal, will be picking up MOH (on PC tho).

I was thinking more about the single game prices. £29.99 seems a good price for the game.

As I said, if you do this for future big releases, you will be having my business (assuming you can supply on day of purchase/1 day before release).

Pretty amazing deal!!! A mate of mine is after PS3 320GB and Medal of Honour. I will advise them that OcUK has a bargain and to try and snap it up quickly as there is only limited stock.

Staff: any chance this will still be available next friday, when my mate gets paid?

I hate to say it but not really, you don't have to look far to find it for £60 cheaper. That's a big difference.

I think (hope) he was being sarcastic.

OcUK should really re-think their console/game strategy. You have a ton of gamers on here with money to spend but also the knowledge of getting a good deal - something they seem to forget. If OcUK done it right they could probably make a nice amount of money, especially with their excellent delivery costs/service.

Missing a trick here I think.

Hopefully they can expand this side of the business and become more competitive with pricing.

But when a quick Google finds products cheaper elsewhere you have to wonder how many of these will sell?

I'd have no problems buying from OcUK if the prices were much more competitive. If this package was £279.99 including free delivery then i'd have bought my PS3 from OcUK. But when I can just go to the local retail park and pick up one for the price i've said and get it straight away then it's just a whole lot easier.
