I saw a clip of this on Discovery yesterday, it was not filmed by 'The Sun' at all, there is a docu being done on helo pilots and they were filming when this happened. The docu reporter was standing next to the helo when it had landed and said 'I can't believe the pilot got shot and still flew' or something along those lines.

its pretty obvious its not filmed by the sun. they even say so... and the video has the discovery channel logo in the corner

thats nowt in vietnam, one injured dude was laying there in the scrub like and the NVA came in to finish the wounded off (they liked to shoot the wounded in the head as a deterrant to the live USA forces)...

one dude got shot through the eye and survived.

one dude got shot through his mouth and back of his throat and yet managed to crawl his way back to US troops and survived the ordeal!

i dont think you would actually believe the extent and injuries that some of those vietnam vets lived through.

Amazing that he flew back after taking a round to the face. Add that to the fact that the Chinook was barely airworthy and it makes this guy even more special.
