I had to re-install my media centre last night and Im now having a weird display issue on my samsung tv
Using the default Win7 drivers, everything is fine
Using the latest catalyst drivers, the display seems just a bit too large for my tv? My start button and desktop icons are only half visible, as if they are trying to disappear off the edge of the screen - I cant find a setting to change this...

Any ideas...

Scaling Options works for me on my TV.

You'll need to go into Desktop & Displays > Configure on the TV > Scaling Options tab. There's a slider, move it to the left for a smaller display, to the right for larger display. Not sure if this is the correct way to do things but it works for me.

Basically, for the best output to a TV (i.e. non blurred - like a proper PC moniyor) you need to make sure your resolution is set to the native res of the TV, make sure your TV is set to a 1:1 pixel mapping mode - no zooming/scaling, and make sure your GPU is also set to 0 scaling in catalyst. Anything else and you get a blurred mess on a TV.

on my 40" samsung I just open catalyst > display & desktops > click on the monitor > Properties > and select the HDTV list. i.e my tv is 1080p so select that. Not anything from the other list. This is with 10.9 drivers

Everything was already set to 1080p, but the above method worked for me - weird as with the native win7 ati driver, everything was OK. I had to move the slider to 4% underscan for the desktop to display OK.
At least it is fixed now...

On your sammy you need to adjust the screensize. go to the menu and screen size and change it to scan (i think its called that) and it should readjust and fit fine.
